Title: Loved by her protector.
Summary: This is for any of you who think Wren and Triss belong together.
Disclaimer: I don't own any characters except Arran and Tarissa. (They
won't come in until later but they will become the main characters after a
while.)
A/n As I said before it's a W/T pairing and I just want to say that Terry
Brooks is one of the most brilliant people in the world. Ok it starts of
with poems that explain their thoughts, then it goes into the story. So
here's my story- Check it out.
(Triss's Poem)
Wren
When you run away I follow without complaint,
But if you fall will I always be there to catch you?
It hurts me to see you hurt or in trouble,
Yet I watch it none the less.
Why do I let you irritate me so?
How is it that I do not know?
My duty is to watch you day and night,
Although that duty is not needed.
For my thought of you travel with me,
No matter what I try.
Getting you out of my head is far too hard,
'Tis easier to let thoughts of you complete me.
Your beautiful eyes with their sparkling intelligence,
Your courage that suits you better than it should.
For a girl that is.
(Wren's poem)
Triss
You insist that I stay safe,
I can take care of myself and you know it. Right?,
Your constant attention irritates me,
Yet I hate it when you're not around.
How is it that you make me feel these strange things?
Do I make you feel the same?
It's your duty to put a stop to my freedom,
Although that duty is not needed.
For I don't want to be free without you,
No matter what I do.
Leaving you is far too hard.
'Tis easier to stay and enjoy your company,
Your readable eyes with their constant worry
Your sensitivity that suits you better than it should.
For a guy that is.
These were the thoughts going through the minds of Triss and Wren, as they both sat in the shade of the Ellcrys. Wren Elessedil had gone to Morrowindle on a quest to bring back the elves. Triss could tell that memories of her friend Garth still bothered her. She leaned over and put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Now that the federation army was no longer a threat, the Westland was a peaceful place. There were festivities regularly on the late spring nights. Tonight was one such night, although Wren was not in a festive mood. Even two Years after what had happened, she still mourned for the deaths of Garth and the tree squeak. Triss was always there though when she was sad. Now he looked down at her. He could see the tears she held back. It made him sad to see her like this but he was the only one she had left. Tiger Ty had gone back to Wing Hove when the fighting had stopped and Triss was the only other person that she was close to.
"My lady, There is not need to hold back tears." He said. She sat up and looked at him.
"I'm fine really, it's just..." She started and couldn't finish the sentence. She didn't know what was bothering her. She sighed and closed her eyes. She felt Triss's hand on her cheek. She opened her eyes and gave him a questioning look. He leaned in close and kissed her softly. She gave him another questioning look. He kissed her on the forehead this time.
"I care for you Wren Elessedil. I have never felt like this for another person before and I do not understand. If you need to cry, my shoulder will always be there." He said.
"I care for you as well Triss, you are always there for me. I admit this feeling is strange to me as well." She kissed him now, placing her hand behind his head and running her fingers through his brown hair. He in turn pulled her into a hug putting his hands on her back.
A/N so how'd you like it, Give me your thoughts ok. Review. It doesn't really matter to me though, I mean most people beg you to review. I promise that I will only ask every four chapters. I'm going to write the whole thing now then release it one chapter at a time. K. Bu Bye for Now
