Vash: ^^ YAY!
A: *sighs happily*
D: ...M-chan will never own Trigun
Me: *pout*
"Vash?"
"Hm?"
"You're not going to have to leave again, are you?" They were sitting down. Vash had retired his red clothes, showing the new beginning; instead he wore what would be considered normal around the small city. They were both sitting on top of the small cliff, staring up to the universe.
"No...I don't think I'll have to." Meryl smiled, her gray eyes lightning with small happiness,
"That's good." She replied towards the ex-gunman, leaning on his good shoulder. Vash glanced down at Meryl, a small goofy like smile appearing upon his face,
"Oh?"
"Yes, now we can rest...and you can rest to, Vash..." She said, staring up to the darkened sky once again, blinking, "...Vash! Look!" Vash followed her gaze and pointed arm, and saw the thing that was a marvel to always see. A shooting star. "It's beautiful..."
"Make a wish." Meryl took one glance at Vash in question, before nodding shyly and looking back to the stars, to make her silent wish. The excitement soon wore down and they were continued to watch what they had before.
"Vash?"
"Hm?"
"Did you make a wish?"
"I did."
"What was it?" Vash smiled down at Meryl,
"Can't tell, secret." Meryl frowned lightly, before smiling right back at Vash,
"Is it about Millie?"
"No."
"Is it about all the townsfolk?"
"No."
"Is it about your brother."
"Nope."
"Is it about me?" Meryl asked timidly, yet the tone of amusement was in her voice. Vash tilted his head slightly, to look as though he was thinking,
"Hmm...no I don't think it was about you either." Meryl's heart fell a bit, but then she recognized that silly tone in Vash's voice,
"Is that so?"
"It is." They left the small conversation, staring back again admiring the beauty.
"Insurence girl?" Meryl stifled a laugh, but answered duefully,
"Yes?"
"What about your wish?" Meryl made a fake look of thinking hard about what she had wished, before sticking a playful tongue out,
"Can't tell, super human sealed secret." Vash smiled simply,
"Is it about Millie?"
"No."
"Is it about all the townsfolk?"
"No."
"Is it about my brother."
"Wrong again!"
"Is it about me?" Meryl smiled simply back,
"I don't think so." Vash and Meryl then shared a quick laugh, after a pregnant pause came, evolving a quiet movement of shuffling to be near each other for warmth of the coldness.
"Vash?"
"Yes?"
"Why do you think the sky can be dark and light?"
"The suns?"
"No I meant, what made it that way?"
"I suppose...the perfect balance of nature, I don't know, I've never really thought about it."
"I like it when it's dark." Vash tilted one of his eyebrows, "Not only do you get to see the stars, but I can also be near you and never be embarrassed."
"Are you embarrassed of me?"
"Wouldn't you be, if I just went around crying and eating donuts at the same time?" Vash laughed at the reminder of one of his lesser moments,
"True...but I like you the way you are insurance girl." Meryl smiled, closing her eyes as she continued to lean against Vash,
"I love you Vash the Stampede."
"I love you too, insurance girl." The two stayed that way the entire night, sharing only one kiss as the suns came up from the horizon.
THERE! ^^ Fluff gone! So fluffy!
Vash: Why was I just reminded of Lilo and Stitch?
A: M-chan's watching it
