"Yuki! I'm home!" Shuichi poked his head in the door and called. He came back early today to tell his lover the good news. Bad Luck's single had finally sold over three million today. [I guess he didn't hear me,] he thought.
"Yuki, I'm back!" he shouted a little louder.
All he got in response was a girl's voice coming through Yuki's bedroom door screaming, "Harder, Yuki! HARDER!!"
Shuichi walked up to the door and opened it. There were two figures underneath the covers. He felt his vision get blurry, but he wiped it away. Maybe Yuki wasn't one of the ones under there. Maybe he was just dreaming again. Just like every other time.
"Yuki?" he asked. A blonde haired man came out from under the blankets with a sheet wrapped around his waist. Shuichi was wrong. Yuki really was going at it with a lady.
"I can't believe you!" he yelled.
"Shuichi.----" Yuki was cut off.
"I really can't believe you! I'm a fool. I'm such a bloody fool," he started laughing at himself while his eyes blurred some more. "I'm such a fucking fool."
"Shuichi, you're no fool," Eiri tried to persuade. A strange feeling washed all over him. Guilt.
"Yes, I am! I actually believe you could change. I actually thought some day you'd be honest! I really hoped you'd be honest with me. You proved me wrong just now. I loved you and I still do, but I can't go one like this, wondering every day when you'll be true to your lover. So go find a new one. Because you'll never be true to me. Just don't forget that I love you. One more thing –-- " he paused and started laughing at himself again, tears streaming unstoppably down his face like rain. Yuki took this chance to say what he wanted.
"Shuichi, I didn't mean to," he tried to catch the pink haired singer's expressive violet eyes. "I – "
"You didn't mean to do what? Lead me on? Have me believe you would actually change for me? Insult my lyrics the first time I saw you? Sleep with her?" He pointed a finger at the girl that was now getting dressed. "Have me catch you in the act?" He broke down completely and slid down the wall into a corner with his arms around his knees, crying.
"I really didn't mean to," Yuki protested.
"Oh don't you bullshit me! You're finally getting what you wanted since day one of this relationship if that's what you wanna call it. You were so desperate to get me out of your life that you chose to get it this way. Well, you're finally getting your wish come true. I'm leaving you for good. You get me out of your life permanently." He turned his back to leave and said one last, "Goodbye."
As soon as Shuichi took off, Yuki felt like he just had someone rip his heart out and do the Cotton Eye Joe on it. He really fucked up this time.
"You know you're the real fool here. He loves you," the girl slapped him a good one across the cheek, picked her coat up, and left.
The next morning, Yuki found a piece of paper that had been slid under the door. He picked it up slowly to see what was one the paper. Lyrics. The song was called Foolish.
