"James... Y'know I love you right...? No, James... I've got something to tell you... it's... awful... No! God damn!"
Exhausted Sirius stopped his frantic pacing and stood facing out of the bare window.
The moonlight glinted in the canal water below and Sirius sighed.
Watching as a small black dog sniffed around a lamppost, Sirius nearly missed the arrival of James into the bedroom.
But his animal didn't.
Slinging his outer robe on the bed, James was concerned with how tense his boyfriend, his lover, his life, looked.
"Sirius?"
A shudder went through Sirius.
"I'm pregnant"
After all that planning, it just came out.
With his back to James, Sirius didn't notice when his boyfriend fainted to the floor without a word.
"James... Y'know I love you right...? No, James... I've got something to tell you... it's... awful... No! God damn!"
