Keladry of Mindelan put her breeches and tunic on and was just about to step out of her
room to the practice courts when Nealen of Queenscove had stepped in front of her door. He
Smiled at her as she was about to pass him.
"What, no 'hello' or 'hi?'" Neal asked her, disappointed.
"I don't have to say it every time I see you, do I? Hi." Kel grinned and positioned Neal's
hair as an excuse to touch him.
"Of course you do," Neal retorted. "I do every time I see you."
Kel smiled and started to walk out of her room and Neal laughed. "Were you really planning
on going out there with no shoes?"
"Oh!" Kel, red faced, dashed quickly back in her room and slipped her shoes on. Neal stood
in front of her door, blocking her way. She sighed and tried to push him to get out, but
failed completely. She stood there a few minutes waiting for Neal to move. After about 5
of just standing there, Kel rapped on his head with her knuckles. He shook his head a
little and looked at her. "Oh. You want through? You could've just asked."
Kel frowned. She gently pulled him into her room more. She closed the door; That
was against the rules for her as Lord Wyldon has informed her at the beginning of her first
year. She never broke rules, so Neal had gotten worried. Kel worried herself about what
she was about to do. She took a deep breath and looked around to make sure Lalasa
was still at Tian's.
"Neal, I have to tell you something," Kel said, worry in her eyes.
"What's wrong Kel?" Neal asked, just as worried as her.
"Neal.. I..." Just about when she was going to finish her sentence, there was a knock on the
door. Kel looked shocked, afraid to get caught. Neal just stood there wondering what she was
about to say. She grabbed him and tugged him into her dressing room. She closed the door
quickly before he could say anything. She opened the door for just a crack. She sighed
with relief. It was just Lalasa, her maid. She opened the door all the way and let her in.
With Neal in the back of her mind, she spoke to Lalasa. "I thought I gave you a key a long
time ago. What happened?"
"Please miss, I am sorry. I lost it. Do not be angry at me, please." She pleaded.
"Lalasa, I am certainly not mad. but how--" She started but then Neal opened the door to
the dressing room and popped out, closing the door behind him. Neal looked confused and
