WARNING: SLASH! (Percy/Oliver)

Sa Panaginip Na Lang Pala

~~

A/N: Erm ... See the title? It's in Filipino. See, I couldn't quite translate it right. But I'll tell you as much: It means: "Only in dreams". BUT! in english there are many emotions that can be associated with this phrase. In Filipino, once you've read it, you'll know what to feel. Because of the expressions: 'na lang' and 'pala.' So, I suggest you learn Filipino to fully understand the title. See, i can't explain it in english. So ... sorry! Based on the song 'Ang Huling El Bimbo'

It's really short. Like a ficlet or something. Or a drabble. Definately a drabble.

Now, onwards!

~Oliver Wood~

Look at you, with all your books and your slightly loopsided glasses. I doubt you'd even notice it's imperfection ... but that's okay. Your perfect that way. Now, look at you, with those rags you call robes. I've heard about Charlie Weasley tearing them all the time. Not even magic can make it as good as new, can it, Percy? It doesn't matter ... You'll never notice, but I'm always here. Always watching.

Soon, there I was, spending my night with someone I never thought I'd be going off to the Yule ball with. She had forgotten I was still there. She had gone talking with her friends and I can't help but let my eyes wander off. Then ... there you were, that Clearwater girl in your arms as the two of you danced a perfect waltz ... You were so beautiful. You were so talented, as you let your feet go and move on it's own. I wanted to break down in tears. Ever since then, I had always dreamt of us dancing.

Then, the day came, it was like a different kind of magic. A few days before the next Yule ball, you invited me for dance lessons. How could I have said no? All afternoon you taught me all your moves and tricks. You let me act as the man in a pair. It was funny, how you kept acting like a girl. You told me I had to pretend ... So I pretended. As we got into position, I let my sweat striken hands wander around your body. You chuckled breathlessly, courteously asking me to stop. I never knew you were ticklish.

That night, I dreamt of you teaching me more dancing than I had ever imagined you would dance. You swayed your hips gracefully, pressing your body on mine. Your forehead was beaded with sweat. Soon, there was no more dancing ... instead you taught me how to love. I could almost feel it when my body stiffened, our hands entwined lifelessly. My heart pounded in my ears and up my throat as you taught my heart how to love. When the Yule ball came, there you were once more, dancing with 'Penny' as you'd call her.

After graduation, I never saw you again.

I've never really believed any of the things I've heard about you. I mean ... what do they know? They say your fudge's dog. His little whore. I've heard you have a son. Penelope left him with you. Penelope left you. I've heard them say He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had killed you and your son. They say, your body was never found, nor did they find the child's. I bite my lip, trying to stop myself from attacking bartenders who talk of you. You seem very popular to them. Especially to the wizards.

A part of me says I'll never see you ever again. Part of me tells me that, only in dreams will I ever get to dance the waltz with you again.

I try hard not to break everyday as I wake up to know it was a dream.

I bite my shaking lip, trying hard not to break ...

Oh, god, please don't break me, Percy ....

No ...
