Funny how you came into my life
On a cold, dark summer's night
Still recall how the moon touched your face
On the rocky shore of that lonely lake
Took my hand drew me into the light
We stared at each other and spoke the lies
Find a place where the time still bends
Here with you summer never ends
Remember by Ten Mile Tide.

Strangers:
"I'll see you tomorrow!" a cheerful voice yelled at her man.
"Fine, have fun" he yelled back in a some kind jealous voice, afraid things
don't turn out the way he wants.
He didn't know why but he always felt the urge to check up on her. But now
he couldn't. She was leaving and tomorrow she was back, back to be with him
forever. When they first met he kind of fell in love with her and he was
positive she had felt the same. She probably still did but sometimes he got
jealous and he had to find a way to control himself. One time it got
completly out of hand and he hit her. He felt guilty but somewhere it felt
good also, he didn't want to hit her but it felt like she'd betrayed him.
He tried to make up with her and she forgave him, they decided to never
talk about it again. And so it happend, neither one of them ever talked
about what happend, she didn't tell her mom, her friends and he didn't
tell.
He loved her and he never meant to hurt her, they belong together and both
of us know that, or so he thought.
She, on the other hand, didn't feel the same for him as he did for her. She
had enough, enough of their relationship and enough of her life with him.
That's why she told him a lie, to get away from him for just 1 day. She
told him she had to visit a friend that was sick but she just wanted to
have a good time for one night. Go out, see a movie or do something she
could enjoy.
She just didn't love him, maybe she never did. Well that was a lie, she did
love him...a long time ago. A time where she thought she needed him for the
rest of her life but then he hit her and her feelings for him changed. Even
though she had forgive him, she never truly did. He wasn't what she was
looking for though, she didn't know what she wants, all she knew is that it
isn't what she has.
So now she's riding through the country looking for a little bit of
freedom. That's all she needed. She was 22 now and she never felt the love
and passion she needed, and if she stayed by her man she would probably
never find it. But she didn't have a choice, this was the life she once
chose, this was the life she would live.
So she left, only for a day, but she would live like her life ended after
that night. In a way it did. When she run a flat tire on the outskirts of a
small town nearby San Fransisco she cursed to herself, not thinking about
tools to fix them, or even money to let them fix. She turned of the
ignition and looked outside into the rainy night in front of her, this
isn't the way she expected her night to end or even begin.
"I just needed to get out, that's all" he told himself.
The man had just been into a fight with his girlfriend, a woman he just
kind of used. He didn't want to but she just was some kind of addiction.
She didn't mind anything, everything was fine by her. That's what the fight
was about, her not having an opinion. He was just so tired of it, is it so
strange to finally want something real, something to work on? He's 23 now
and he felt like he was wasting his life, which in some way he was.
He just wanted some commitment, something to rely on.
He and his girlfriend had been dating for almost a year but they didn't
live together.
They met when he was in San Fransisco for his work. He didn't live there,
he lived in a big city before but his mother send him away to his father in
Venice Beach, but he couldn't last there for a week and so he moved to a
small town. That's why he doesn't like big cities and that's why he chose
not to live in San Fransisco.
But then she came and he ended up spending most of his time in the city.
On his ride back to his house he found a woman walking along the road and
he asked himself if she was hurt while he slowed down.
"Are you okay miss?"
Through the window their eyes locked for just a second and right at that
moment something changed for both of them. It was like it was meant to
happen.
She took a deep breath before she walked over to his car, she held her
breath as soon as she saw the handsome man in the driver's seat. She
worried about him hurting her, but there was something about him, he looked
kind of tough and angry but somehow he had a lost and innocent look. She
knew he could change her life and then he offered her a ride to wherever
she wanted to go. Her common sense screamed not to because she didn't know
him at all.
But her instinct got the best of her and she accepted his offer. They drove
for a while and he started to make a conversation.
She, somehow, wasn't comfortable and he told her he's not some kind of
psychopath.
She didn't know how but she believed him and the sound of his voice
immediately put her at ease.
It was not just his voice that put her at ease, there was something in his
smile that he showed for just a brief second.
Trying to lighten things up they started a small conversation, he asked her
what happend and she told him she got a flat tire and didn't have a spare
one.
In the mean time they both asked them selfs why she didn't ask for his name
or age and why they both trusted each other when they didn't even know each
others name.
"Is everything alright?" His question was simple but it was the kind she
needed and that's why she just answered with a slight smile and the words
"I will"
"Good" was his answer. Why am I so drawn to her he asked himself several
times.
And all she could ask herself was why he cares.
"Are you cold?"
"Huh, what?"
"Are you cold, because of the rain"
"Frozen" she answered "Got any ideas?"
She was stunned by her own question and when he said she could warm up at
his house she was even more stunned but yet very curious.
Why did she feel such an attraction between them? She didn't know the guy
at all, she had no slightest clue and he was very good at hiding what he
felt.
"I mean that's if you want to"
"Okay" she said slowly and in a soft voice.
I said okay, I really said okay. Can I do this? Can I do this to the person
who's waiting for me back home? Can I enter another mans home when I feel
such an attraction? Can I? She asked herself.
He stopped in front of his house and asked her one last time if she was
sure she would like to come in and it was almost like the only word her
mouth could form was yes.
He looked up to meet her eyes and he felt his heart race a bit faster.
She slightly pushed her door open and stood in the rain making her clothes
cling to her body. He got out and walked to her side and stood facing her,
letting the closeness of their bodies and the heat that came from it warm
them despite the cold rain that was soaken them.
Then before she could react he pulled her close into his embrace and
crushed his lips upon hers and she immediatly responded, feeling herself
hungrily kissing him back.
This was what she meant when she told anybody what she needed, this is what
she needs and so she wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him closer,
feeling their warm bodies cling to one another as she felt his hands around
her waist, making them stand even closer then they already were.
He lifted her with his strong arms and carried her to his front door,he
opend the door and they went inside the warm and comfortable room.
She felt herself being lowered to his bed and he placed himself above her.
His touches were passionate and gentle, she felt his hands starting to
explore and feel every part of her and he felt her body responding and with
his hands he started to take off her wet clingy clothes.
Her hands followered his lead and started to lift his shirt over his head
and she gently touched his chest and neck. She showed him how much she
wanted to be love by him and he did exactly what she needed. She felt his
lips on her body as she clung to him.
She was so amazed inside that she had long ago written herself off from
ever find passion like she was experiencing right now. His words were kind
and loving. His hands were soft and passionate.
It was many hours later before they finally pulled apart and he lay on his
back and pulled her into his strong arms and wrapped them protectivly
around her.
She awoke a few hours later in his arms, she still felt safe and protected
but after a couple of minutes she wondered where she was. And memories of
the night before came flashing back, she gently turned around and found the
man that somehow changed her life. He was still peacefully asleep, somehow
this felt like love at first sight and she would treassure him until the
day she died. Her eyes filled with tears as she gently pushed herself from
the bed and got dressed, she knew he had probably a life waiting somewhere
for him and so had she. She had to go back and never look back.
She walked over to him and kissed him, tasting him just one last time
before she left his life as quickly as she entered it.
The man however, felt her leaving even though he was asleep, he felt her
slipping away and there was nothing he could do about it.
When he woke up an hour or so later, he search the room expecting to find
her. But he didn't, and for a moment he thought it had beem a dream.
She had felt like a dream, that's one thing he knows for sure.
But memories of the night before came back to his memory and a smile
appeared on his face.
"Goodbye" he whispered to a woman he didn't know and never will know.
And right at that moment she whispered the same, praying that someday they
will meet again.
