Oliver's Revenge
Good News, Harsh Reality
By: Nakeru
The first one in through the hospital doors was Marissa. He had tears rolling down her cheek. Her hands were shaking and she had trouble focusing on anything as she searched for Sandy and Kirsten in the waiting room. Everyone else trampled in behind her.
Seth spotted his parents first, "Mom! Dad!"
Sandy looked around for a moment till he spotted everyone near the door. Summer was holding Marissa to calm her down. Luke was looking around with a fear-struck face. Seth was just frantic as his dad walked over to them.
"How did you guys get here?" Sandy asked as he hugged his son.
"Luke picked me up and we were able to grab the Range Rover on the way to Summer's." Seth replied looking at Marissa sobbing.
"It's ok, Hunny," Sandy said hugging Marissa as she buried her face in his shoulder.
Kirsten just sat in her chair. Summer and Seth made their way to her as Luke and Sandy tried to help Marissa. Nothing seemed to work on either one of them. Kirsten just stared into open space, and Marissa just kept sobbing into Sandy's shoulder. Not even Seth's jokes could make his mother snap out of her daze.
Another doctor walked into the waiting room as Sandy escorted Marissa to his chair and sat her down. "Mr. And Mrs. Cohen?"
Sandy went up to the doctor with Seth, "How is he?"
"The operation was successful," replied the doctor, "We're moving him to the ICU for observation for a few hours and then hopefully to a room for a few days."
Kirsten snapped out of it at the news, "THANK GOD!!!"
Sandy, Luke, Seth, Summer, and Marissa looked at her for a moment and then smiled. Ryan was going to be ok after all.
"I will remind you," said the doctor. "There is no way of knowing if Ryan will wake up from any of this. He suffered a concussion from the fall after being stabbed. He's got four broken ribs and a good shiner from a punch, probably from defending himself from his attacker."
Seth jumped in right away, "That you SO much for working on Ryan!" Seth shook the doctor's hand vigorously.
The doctor nodded and left the room. Marissa had stopped sobbing at the good news, and Kirsten was coherent for the time being. Luke just sat with Marissa telling her everything would be ok. Seth sat with Summer… who was mumbling how lucky they all were to have Ryan safe for now. The only problem was that Oliver was still loose. There was still a threat from him.
"Mr. Cohen," a man in uniform said as he approached.
"Hello, Officer," Sandy replied.
"I was dispatched to keep guard over Ryan till the attacker was caught," the officer said taking off his hat and nodding at Kirsten, Marissa, and Summer.
"Thank you," replied everyone. "That makes us feel a lot better."
The office nodded again, placed his hat on his head and began to walk to the elevator. Marissa looked out the window in the waiting room. It had began to storm. Lightning flashed and rain poured from the sky. She was so thankful that Ryan was alright. Now she was scared that Oliver would come after her too.
A nurse came up to the crowd, "It's not normal for family and friends to be allowed in the ICU right after a surgery, but I'll take you up to see him."
Marissa jumped up and was ready to go at the sound of the last word. She had to be by Ryan's side now. She had hurt him so bad by not believing him with Oliver, and she felt responsible. She would stay with him as long as he needed it.
"This way," the nurse said as she began to walk toward the Elevator.
Everyone followed. They all wanted to make sure that Ryan was alright. They needed to be there for him since they hadn't during the hole Oliver problem. They all felt responsible for this attack, if they had listened to Ryan, it might not have happened.

Marissa's POV:
Why couldn't I have believed him? If I had, then none of us would be going through this. I feel so horrible for this to happen. Ryan told me he was nuts, so did Luke. No one else believed them. I should have. He was my boyfriend, I am suppose to believe him. I can't believe that I was so stupid not to believe Ryan. He has done everything to protect me! I'm so stupid! I was so blind! I'm sorry Ryan!!!!!

Seth's POV:
God, Ryan. You were right. I can't believe I didn't listen to you. You're my brother for crying out loud. You've been there for me since you moved in and I repay you by ignoring you!!! I'm so stupid for doing that!!! I promise you I will help find Oliver and protect you from it happening again! He won't touch you or anyone else!!! I swear!!!

Summer's POV:
God, Coop. He was right. I'm sorry I didn't believe Ryan. I should have, everyone should have. I was so blind… it makes me feel so dumb… so… pathetic. Ryan could see Oliver as he really was because he lived in Chino… we should have trusted him… she knows more about nutty people that anyone! I'm so sorry Coop…

Luke's POV:
I swear Ryan if I see that nut-ass freak I'll kill him! I didn't think he was capable of trying to kill someone! Don't worry, man. You're safe now. I won't let him near you again! He won't touch you OR Marissa. If he ever shows up again, I'LL KILL HIM!!!!

Kirsten and Sandy's POV:
I can't believe that one of our children could be attacked like this. What if it had been Seth? If Ryan were to die it would be as hard as losing Seth… no doubt in our minds. Ryan is one of us, a Cohen, and I can't believe that no matter how nuts Oliver was that he could try this on Ryan. No one is safe as long as he's lose. No one.
