The O.C.
Oliver's Revenge
By: Nakeru
His End?
Author's Note: This one chapter will be written entirely in Ryan's POV
I sat up in my bed. It was a beautiful morning. The birds were chirping, the waves rolling, and I was well rested. I looked over to check on Marissa, but she wasn't there. I called out for her, but she never answered.
I noticed a piece of paper on my desk. I walked over, thinking it was a note telling me she had left for the beach or something, but I was way off. It was a note from Oliver. It was written in blood.
I read the note and ran to the house in a flash. I couldn't believe that he had done what he did. He was so nuts that he kidnapped Marissa!
"SANDY! KIRSTEN!"
The ran from inside the kitchen into the entrance way, "What is it Ryan?"
I pushed out the letter at Sandy, "Oliver kidnapped Marissa!"
Sandy read the note aloud:
Dear Ryan,
If you are wondering where Marissa is, I'll tell you. I have her. She's mine now. There is no point in denying facts anymore Ryan. We were meant to be together, not her and you! She's mine! She loves me!
There is no point in this, but if you truly want to end this, meet me up in the cliffs over the beach at 2A.M. tonight! I wouldn't bother, it would only be your end!
Oliver
It made me even more furious as Sandy read the note out loud. I saw Seth and Summer come in and their expressions of terror as Sandy read it. Luke had still been sleeping.
Kirsten asked, "What are we going to do?"
"We show up. Well, at least me anyway. Sandy, please call the police, ask them to show up and hide till I get Marissa away from him. Make sure that there are a couple EMTs near by, just in case.
"We can't let you do this, Ryan." Sandy said to me.
"It's not your choice, It's mine." I told them. I walked out of the house and into the Pool house… I needed to get ready for tonight… no one knew what would happen, that's what scared me.

It was dark on the cliffs. I could barely see my hands two inches in front of my face. I walked over to the edge and looked over, and I understood why Oliver had chosen here to finish this once and for all. Never before had I felt so worried about a fight before, not even in Chino. I had to do this, even if I die, at least Marissa would be safe.
"There you are, Ryan," Oliver said walking out from behind some trees.
"Where is she?" I demanded to know.
"RYAN!" she shouted as she appeared
I looked back where Oliver came out of, she was there tied to a chair. I tried to run over to her, but Oliver blocked the way. I knew the only way to get him to let her go was a trade.
"I'll make you a deal, Oliver!" I shouted.
"And what's that?" asked Oliver curious.
"Me for Marissa!" I shouted back.
Oliver smirked and replied, "You're going to die if you go through with this you know, Ryan."
"RYAN DON'T DO THIS!" Marissa yelled trying to talk me out of it.
"Then so be it." I said to Oliver.
I watched him walk over to the chair and unlock her. She tried to run to me, but he shoved her toward where I had originally come from. It was a good thing that Oliver didn't know what I did.
"Marissa," I yelled to her, "Please, go find Sandy and Kirsten and tell them everything is alright."
"NO RYAN!" she yelled with tears in her eyes.
"Go!" I shouted. "Please!"
She ran off the way I had come. I knew she would be alright. Now I had to focus on one thing, Oliver. I had to find some way to trick him so that he wouldn't try and kill me without a fight.
"If you want me dead, Oliver." I said. "No guns!"
"Fine with me," Oliver replied, tossing his gun to the side, and then pulling a knife.
"Remember the last time you were on the end of this Ryan?"
I froze, the last time I had seen anyone hold a knife like that, it was Oliver stabbing me. I began to panic. My hands started shaking and my nerves were shot. I didn't have a choice, I had to stop him.
I lunged at him. I tackled him at the ankles, knocking him to the ground. As he tried to stand back up and strike me with the knife I punched him in the jaw. I didn't expect it, but he socked me in the stomach.
I had to role off him and regain my breath and stand back up. He jumped on me, his knife in his right hand. Once he had me on the ground, he tried to stab me, I was able to knock him off and crawl away.
"Ryan!" shouted Marissa as she showed up with Sandy and everyone else, including the cops.
I knew what to do. I grabbed Oliver by the shirt and lifted him up in front of me. The cops had their guns drawn and I knew if I could get Oliver to try and stab me, "Go of it Oliver!"
He lifted his arm up to slash me with the knife, and just as he was ready to thrust it at me, a gun fired. One shot and then there was quiet. Oliver just looked at me in shock. The knife slowly fell from his hand. He then began to just fall to the ground so I let go. He had been shot, right through the back of the chest.
"RYAN!!!" Marissa yelled as she ran to me. I can remember thinking it was finally over as she grabbed me in the biggest hug ever.
"I'm so happy you're…" she began, but her voice faded.
I knew she had realized that Oliver wasn't the only that was hurt, I had been shot in the chest. I could feel the pain, I knew that was a price to pay to stop him. My legs gave out, Marissa grabbed me and laid me on the ground.
"Ryan!" she said, tears rolling off her cheeks. "You'll be alright, just stay with me please!"
The police had called in the EMTs and the ran over to me and Oliver. Everything began going darker, I knew I was losing consciousness. I looked up and told Marissa one thing.
"I love you, Marissa Cooper."
"I love you too, Ryan Atwood," said Marissa, now crying.
I smiled at her statement. I could feel her hand holding mine, but I was losing strength. I could hear Sandy and Kirsten yelling as they ran to me. Summer, Seth and Luke were right behind them.
The last thing I saw was everyone's worried looks as they huddled around me… then it all went blank.
Thanks to everyone who has been reading, this is NOT the end just yet. Thanks for the reviews and the encouragement!
