She watched as his head tipped forward a few times as she continued to run through the re-enactment. As she turned her head back, she noticed just how close he really was and where his hands were. They were still held, hovering over the sheet, either side her hips. His eyes never seemed to break from her face, even when he spoke.

She listened to his soft voice, the voice she hadn't heard in a long time. As the silence stung the air, she felt the need to be closer, to feel him against her, not just his body heat, but his body too. This time she gave into the urge and before he could step away, she took a half step so her body was pressed against his and before she could stop herself, she gently, lightly, brushed her lips against his.

His whole body had frozen the second she moved towards him and now she was touching him, his lips with hers. His thought processes were numbed as her warm lips pressed against his a second time and by the third, he could feel himself moving, his hands to be exact, first his left and then his right. His hands lightly held her hips for a fraction of a second as she brushed against his lips for the fifth time.

His eyes had fluttered closed against her second kiss and now his hands and lips were responding to her. It started slowly, a tasting and then, a taking. Before his brain registered exactly what they were doing, his fingers dug into the fabric of her black jeans and pulled her hips against his.

The sound of someone clearing their throat barely broke through the rushing sound of the blood pumping through their ears, but as soon as it did, Sara shot backwards and gasped.

"Sorry to interrupt," Catherine spoke quickly, wanting to break the uneasy tension that instantly filled the air. "But Warrick and I got the car wash info."

Grissom's eyes stayed on Sara a moment before nodding in Catherine's direction and collecting himself. "Good." He cleared his throat and turned around to the layout table. "Check it out and call me if you find anything."

Catherine looked back at Sara as she turned to leave. "Will do."

Sara waited for the other woman to leave and before she attempted to breathe, she noticed Grissom was still in the room and starring at the layout table. She could see the muscles working in his jaw and his hands were pressed flat against the table top. She didn't want to even imagine how angry he was, or disappointed, with her right now.

Clenching her hands into fists to relieve some of the tension that whirled inside her, she took hesitant steps around the table to the case folder she was reading earlier. When she closed it and picked it up, she couldn't just leave without saying she was at least sorry for what happened.

"Um, Grissom..." She struggled to form the words, but when he looked up slowly, she looked away, not wanting to see the dark anger that would be evident in his eyes. "I'm sorry. I-I-" She sighed and shook her head. "I'm sorry." She repeated and took her case folder and headed for the door.

He caught her hand quickly before she made her escape. He still leaned against the table on one hand and kept his head down, but his other hand gently ran the thumb against her palm and squeezed her hand tightly. His head came up and he looked at her with curious and concerned eyes.

"We can't let this happen again." He told her, his voice thick with authority. He looked passed her briefly before focusing his eyes back on her face. "Not here, ok?" He said sternly, but raised a single eyebrow at her.

End.
