Alone in the darkness,
Alone at last...
Away from troubles
Directed towards you.

Sitting, alone
In the midnight.
Is it real?
Has it finally come...

I saw a midnight fox
Running from its shadow
And stopping...
Just to see me.

Forever waiting that midnight fox,
That stares into my eyes
With the touching softness
Warmth of golden eyes...

I promised him,
That I'd come back.
Every midnight,
When the full moon glows...

Will he forget me?
For years I've come
And so has he...
My midnight fox.

Old in years,
And decades passing...
Regretting my weak state
To not go to him.

Before my last breath,
He came to me...
In full moon presence
Saying the words I've never heard it say.

"I'll love you forever
My friend..."
For he had said
Near my dying bed...

"And I, you my fox,
My midnight fox..."
My last reply
Before that time...

I'd always remember him
Even after life or death
Forever mine;
Midnight fox...
