Chappie One: new beginnings
It was the first day back to Hogwarts and the sub shone beautifully through the windows of the Hogwarts Express. Lily and her friends, Arabella and Rose, were gossiping about one thousand miles per hour about the guys they liked. And oddly enough, the ones they liked, were also their friends. Arabella, a rather short, brunette who was the flirtiest of the three, was going out with the one and only Sirius Black. Rose, who had curly, blonde hair and was the tallest, liked Remus Lupin. He was the quiet yet super hott type. Just like Rose. Lily on the other hand, was actually in love with James Potter, the most popular guy in school and was scarcely seen without a large amount of Hufflepuff girls mobbing him. Lily was the most beautiful of the trio. She had long, wavy red hair and the greenest eyes any of them had ever seen. As if on cue, in walk the three most handsome guys in Hogwarts strolled into their compartment. "Hey my darling ladies," Said Sirius Black, looking sexier than usual. "And how are the three most beautiful girls in Hogwarts doing?" Asked James, grinning. "Bonjour my good sirs" Said Arabella, in an overly flirty way that made Sirius give her a once over. "Hey Jamie" Lily said a bit bolder than she usually would.
James took notice to this new boldness. She looked somehow different from last year. He had always liked her ever since he first saw her in first year. He never thought she might like him that way. But this year, her attitude suggested a little more. He went over and sat next to her. Sirius was already next to Arabella and it looked like they forgot anyone else was there because they were pretty much slobbering all over each others face. Remus had sat shyly next to Rose and they were discussing this year's new classes. James felt awkward sitting so close to Lily and not even talking so he struck up conversation. "So... how was your summer, gorgeous?" "Oh! It was really great. Me and Rose stayed the summer at Bella's and went in her lake" "Sounds really nice." "It was! So. Er..... How was yours?" "It was really wicked....."
Their conversation lasted about 20 more minutes until a 5th year Ravenclaw came in and called them to the prefects compartment for a meeting. As James and Lily left the compartment with linked arms and skipped all the way down there as a joke.
Once in the prefects compartment, Dumbledore began making his announcements. Lily and James weren't exactly paying attention because they were too busy sneaking glances at each other. But the last announcement caught both their attention. "This year, it is my misfortune to tell you that the new head boy and girl, who were also brother and sister, were in an unfortunate accident which I shall not mention." Dumbledore had a pained expression on his face. "They have passed and that leaves us with out a head boy or girl so I will chose one of this years prefects to be the new heads. They will be Lily Evans and James Potter, both 6th year Gryffindors. You are to take residents in the Head's room rather than in your usual dormitories. I trust both of you will take this responsibility seriously as from what I can tell, you are very mature."
Lily and James just sat there with their mouths hanging open like buffoons. Dumbledore merely smiled and dismissed them. They walked back to their friend's compartments talking about what they thought about their new positions. Once inside the compartment, their friends nearly exploded when the found out about the news.
