Wonders of space.
The stars were beautiful, shimmering in the darkness. Like little lights guiding anyone who ventured into this black void. A smile tugged on his lips as a strange feeling overwhelmed him and his eyes twinkled with expectation. It was silent and the light dimmed until they all stood there in the darkness.
Suddenly a collective gasp escaped this audience, when the bright red light in the middle of all those other little lights flickered and went out, before exploding into brilliant colors. Blue touched the sky and stayed for several seconds before silently fading away when red took over. After that golden yellow shone. Purple appeared, orange, green.....red. When every color imaginable was visible, white burst through all of this and dominated over the darkness.
The eyes of the people reflected these colors as they watched and there was not one single sound in the room. The colors played with their faces and clothing. Making them look like fantasy figures from an old and long forgotten fairytale. They all stared to this little show they had the pleasure of experiencing, with faces that mirrored those of little children who just got their very first bicycle.
Some time later, the colors had faded. And the lights in the room went on again. People had stayed to talk about this wonder, and it had taken quite some time before the first ones had left. Even later everybody had left except three people, who were silently sitting at a table in the corner. They had not uttered one single word in all this time and were still staring out of the window to the stars. Finally, the man smiled before looking back to his companions.
"You know, I have this strange desire for ice cream.." Hoshi looked up at the sound of his voice. "Do you two want some?" Malcolm said. Hoshi matched his smile and nodded. They turned and looked at T'pol, waiting for her decision. She averted her eyes from the stars to look at both humans. She hesitated for a second before also nodding. A silly grin appeared on Malcolm's face and he stood.
"Strawberry?"
