New Life, New World... One Familiar Face
Disclaimer: *Forgot this in the Prolouge* Sadly *sniff* *sniff* I do not own Inuyasha, the cast, the theme song, or anything else having to do with it
for that matter. What I do own though, is this story, a block of cheese, a potatoe, and a ceiling fan.

Chapter 1: I Thought You Were Forgotten
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been many years since Sesshoumaru's death, and after Inuyasha and the gang had taken the small child in. In fact, Rin was now 15 years old, and turning
in to quite the beautiful young lady. A lot of things had changed besides that. Inuyasha and Kagome, who had finally gotten married, had completed
the jewel shard, and had moved back to the modern world. Well, anyone could have guessed that their marriage was bound to happen, the only thing
everyone was waiting for was for them to confess their feelings for each other. As for Sango, Shippou, Kirara, and Miroku, well, Sango and Miroku were also
married, and Shippou and Kirara live with them back in Feudal Japan. Rin was living with Kagome and Inuyasha now, as well as their son, who resembled
both of them amazingly. He had black hair like Kagomes, with silvery streaks through it, and it was somewhat long and was pointed at the ends. He had silver
dog ears on his head like Inuyasha, and his eyes were a golden brown. No one in Modern Japan really paid attention to Inuyasha and his son, Kotaka's,
ears, as they all knew about what had happened in Feudal Japan now. Rin went to highschool now, and was in 9th grade. She wasn't exactly popular,
though she was happy with herself the way she was. But still, there was something missing inside her... something empty in her heart. It was something
she coulding remember, but it felt as if she didn't want to remember it. She had been told by Kagome that it had been many years since the tragic
accident, but she never really told her what had happened, afraid that she might break down again. She never liked seeing Rin unhappy. But she was so
young when it happened, Kagome doubted Rin would even remember it. Still, Rin couldn't get that thought to become clear. She knew Kagome was
holding something back from her, and when she tried asking Inuyasha, an expression she had never seen before, spread across his face. He didn't say
anything to her, but walked away, and Rin never brought it up again. The look on Inuyasha's face wasn't one she liked, and she didn't want to see it
again.
Rin walked down the crowded halls of the highschool, books in hand, eyes staring out straight in front of her with a dull expression. She heard a bunch
of girls gossiping as she continued walking.
"So, did you hear?" One of them asked.
"Hear what?" The other one questioned.
"There's a new kid." The first one replied, "I hear he's really cute too!"
"So where's he from?"
"I don't know, he just kind of, 'Showed Up'."
Rin tuned the girls out, loosing interest in their conversation. She walked into Room 504, and took a seat in the back. It was math class, and it wasn't
one of her 'best' subjects. It took a while for Rin to catch up on everything the kids in her grade were learning. Since she had been raised most of her
life in Feudal Japan, she never went to school or anything like that. She had learned how to handle a sword, though she doubted that would ever come
in useful here in the Modern World. Rin pulled out a book from her mess of papers, and started reading it, acting as if she was interested in it, which
she wasn't. Reading was the best way to occupy herself, to avoid socialization with other kids. Making friends wasn't really something she was very
talented at.
The hour in Math seemed to go on forever, but finally, the bell rang, dismissing them to lunch. Rin quickly bought some food, and sat down at a table by
herself. She started eating silently, so preoccupied by her thoughts, she didn't notice a certain white haired, amber eyed, figure sit down at the table
she was sitting at. She glanced up quickly, looking at the guy whom she supposed to be the new kid. As she made out his figure, her heart stopped,
the blood in her veins froze. One name came to her mind:
Sesshoumaru.
A/N: Okay, I guess I kind of left you at a Cliff-Hanger, and the chapter was REALLY short.... Oh well! Naw, I'm just kidding, lol. I don't want my readers to
be dissapointed, but, you gotta do what you gotta do, and in this case, I have to leave you here. *Sniff Sniff* *Tear Tear* Well, R&R and I might just
make another chapter! *Wink Wink*
