Scene: Starts a romance between Sandy and Sonny
(Curtain opens, Lights come up, Frenchie and Sandy enter carrying trays of
lunch food, and they walk towards the lunch table)
Frenchie: Hey Sandy! How'd you like to sit with me and my friends at lunch today?
Sandy: Thanks Frenchie, I'd love to. (Walks towards lunch table) Frenchie: This is (points out) Rizzo, Jan, Kenickie, Sonny and Roger. Guys meet Sandy. (Female characters chime in with unexcited hellos and the boys whistle) Sandy: Hey everyone, I'm new here, my dads job just got transferred. Sonny: You're looking pretty sharp, Sandy. Sandy: (giggles) Thanks! You're not to bad yourself. How was everyone's summer? Roger: (sound tough) Got into a few fights, (upset) but I lost most of them. Rizzo: It was a drag, just hanging out with same old guys and these girls. Kenickie: Hey Rizzo, I'm not the same old guy! We had fun! (winks) Jan: (interupting, not caring about Kenickie) Great! I went to my aunts wedding and got to eat all this delicious food. (Girls laugh at Jan) Frenchie: I applied for beauty school. I hope I get in. How was your summer Sandy? Sandy: Oh, I met a boy. He was sweet, just turned 18. Sonny: Well, I'm sure you're never gonna see him again. What do you say to dinner? Sandy: Yes, he's goes to another school, and I most likely won't see him again. Dinner would be nice. Sonny: Sweet, I'll pick you up at 8. (Lights fade out, you see a Danny walk across in the background without
the other characters noticing him, then the curtain closes)
