Boromir's Journey

From Minas Tirith I set out,

On a long and lonely road,

Amidst the threat of war and doubt,

Fear and strife, they were my load.

To Imladris I come,

After journey long,

To find out if the war is lost or if it can be won,

At Elrond's house where days are passed with song.

When Elrond summoned us, we came,

Men and Hobbits, Drwarves and Elves,

We learned that nothing could ever be the same,

And we had a chance to win this war ourselves.

Nine of us were chosen to set out from Rivendell,

Nine against Nine Riders we were to be,

From Caradhras to Moria, where only evil dwells,

And ever toward Gondor, where live the brave and free.
