My explanation for this: We had to write a poem for my Creative Writing class about a dream you had. A repeating poem… it has a name, but I can't remember what. Anyways, I wrote about a nightmare I had, about the Broken Neck woman. Specifically the one from Crimson Butterfly but this can be applied to any… I know it isn't exactly purely 'Fatal Frame' but it's a poem about a dream about it… so it counts, right?
Dream
She stared, head hanging in that unnatural angle
Blue-white glow lit up the room
Laughter crawled across my skin
Sinking, drifting through the world of dreams
Blue-white glow lit up the room
He was tapping at my door
Sinking, drifting through the world of dreams
Escaping death to live evermore
He was tapping at my door
Melding together, knocking on my door
Escaping death to live evermore
Fear smothered me
Melding together, knocking on my door
Mocking knocking with a bitter laugh
Fear smothered me
Panicking, fear crawled up my throat
Mocking knocking with a bitter laugh
Whispers reached my ears
Panicking, fear crawled up my throat
Darkness dripped into my soul
Whispers reached my ears
Cowering from the death in store
Darkness dripped into my soul
Icy-cool words cut through the dank room
Cowering from the death in store
She stared, head hanging in that unnatural angle
Icy-cool words cut through the dank room
Laughter crawled across my skin
