He didn't see what all the fuss was about really. So she was the Slayer. So she was tough. So she could beat the crap out of anyone who tried to fight her. So what? The problem with his contemporaries, was that they were too hung up on theatrics.
He opened his case and began to assemble the contents. "One dead slayer," he told Spike, "Coming right up."
The distraction had been painfully easy to set up. One little Vampire attack in an alley and she'd come running. Five Vampires ought to be enough to keep her busy, he reasoned.
She'd taken out two already, but he was ready. He peered through the scope and tracked with her. All was ready. He pulled the trigger.
The now dead Slayer fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes. One bullet was all it had taken. What was wrong with people these days? When he'd started out as an assassin, they didn't have laser sights, silencers, hell, even guns. Crossbows were as advanced as they had. But that was then. This was now.
It really wasn't that hard to kill a Slayer. You just had to know how.
