Everything changes chapter 5
Ric got up from his seat, reached out and grabbed the front of Sonny's suit and pulled him forward. It was only then that Sonny saw the fire in Ric's eyes. "You miserable Soprano wanna be! "He screamed as he shook Sonny. "You uneducated ass in an expensive suit. That bitch! You call sister Hit Elizabeth."
Sonny's expression turns from smug to shock He didn't realize that Ric was here because of Elizabeth. "Ric! You Know Courtney! She would have never Hurt Elizabeth on purpose. It has to be a terrible accident. Courtney would never hurt anyone. She's not like that Ric she's made of better stuff than you or I." Sonny said trying to calm down and reason with Ric.
Ric Looked at Sonny amazed at what the man was saying. "Are you as Crazy as your Sister sonny? She was drunk out of her mind and laughing like a lunatic, saying how she hoped Elizabeth was dead. She wanted to Kill Elizabeth, Sonny. She wanted her dead." He stated simply trying to calm down as he let go of Sonny's jacket. Ric knew that in the end a fistfight with him in the waiting room would not help Elizabeth. He took a deep breath and then said, "Don't come here looking for sympathy from me. I have none. And I will do nothing to help you Clean up this mess."

Dr. Meadows walked over to the where Ric was sitting in the waiting room on Floor five.
Ric stood Up and asked, "Is Elizabeth ok Dr. Meadows and is the baby?"
Dr Meadows smiled and said, Yes Ric she and the baby are doing very well she is in post op but will be back in her room in about an hour."

Sonny came into the penthouse like the devil was after him. Jason was waiting for him.
"Did you know that Courtney hit Elizabeth?" sonny demanded of Jason. He poured a drink and took the envelope from Jason sitting down on the couch to read it.
"I found out when Gibbs dropped off the medical records. They wouldn't let me see or talk to Courtney and Taggert wouldn't tell me who she hit." Jason said in his business as usual voice.
Sonny sat and read the medical records trying to make heads or tails of what they said when he suddenly came across the fact that Elizabeth was Pregnant. "Oh my God!" Sonny said as he read the record. "We may have a real problem on out hands in trying to fix this for Courtney. Ric will not back down and I can understand why now."
Jason looked at Sonny. "Why? What did you find?"

A tap on the door interrupted him as Dr. Meadows walked in. "Hello, Dr. Meadows I am gonna let you fill in Elizabeth. I need to go get cleaned up and Pick up my medication. I will be back shortly". OH and Courtney failed her evaluation and will be staying in Ferncliff until her trial." Sonny said as he took his arm and smashed all of the glasses on the bar.
Carly looked at Sonny totally in shock. "Elizabeth is Pregnant?" was all she said.
Ric felt as though he had been waiting in the hallway forever when Dr. Meadows finally came back and asked him to come into the room. He was relieved to hear the blipping of the fetal monitor and went over to hold Elizabeth hand.
"Ric I explained to Elizabeth that some cramping can happen after the procedure and we have started her on medication to stop that and a mild sedative that won't hurt the baby but will allow her to be calm. "Dr Meadows said smiling. "I will check in on her a little later. I have a set of twins to deliver."
"Thank you Dr. Meadows," Ric said as she left.
Ric walked to the window and moved a chair over to sit it beside the bed. "Are you feeling better now?' he asked as he took Elizabeth hand.
"Yes but I need to tell you something really important. This baby maybe Jason's not yours and he said he has someone coming to take me to get an abortion. Ric I know your gonna hate me but I can't kill my baby!"
"Wait a minute, you said Jason is sending someone here to take you?" Ric asked very concerned.
Elizabeth started Crying again and shook her head yes.
Ric stood up. "Sweetheart I know we have a lot to talk about and figure out but nobody is gonna hurt our baby. I am gonna go call Kim Cox so she can get a restraining order against Jason and a guard assigned. I'll be back as soon as I can." He said as he kissed her and left.
Ric walked into the hallway trying not to panic. As he took out his cellophane he saw Steven standing by the Nurses station. He walked up to him. "Do you really want to See Elizabeth and be her Brother?" He asked quickly.
"Yes!" Steven said surprised. "Regardless of what you all think I love Lizzie very much!"
"Ok!" Ric said, "I am going to let you prove it. I have to call an ADA and get a guard. Someone wants to hurt Elizabeth's baby. I need you to go sit with her and do not let anyone take her out of that room. Can you do that? Can you protect her?"
"Yes, but Why?" Steven started to ask.
"I don't have time to tell you now. Please I have to trust you to keep them safe." Ric answered as he was walking away.
Steven was very confused when he opened the door and saw Elizabeth sitting on the bed crying.
She was startled when he walked in and started to try to slid away form him but she really couldn't move anywhere. "Please, Please don't hurt my baby!" She sobbed.
Steven was shocked at how she was acting she was simply terrified. He walked closer and said," Lizzie-B, Its me. Its Steven your brother!"
