After a nice ride in Nik's Limo Liz and Ric Finally arrived at the cottage.
Ric got out first and then helped Liz out. He picked her up in his arms.
They both were laughing as he carried her to the door.
Elizabeth was very surprised when the front door was opened for them. Inside was a banner hanging over the fireplace that read Welcome Home! The Great room was full of fresh flowers and there was a fire in the fireplace.
Lucky, Maxie , Zander , Emily and Nik were all in the Great room yelling, "Surprise."
Steven who had opened the door walked up behind them and said, "Welcome Home Lizzie!"
Ric let Elizabeth stand and she hugged everyone saying, "thank you!"
The dinning table was set with Elizabeth's china and fresh flowers. There were some wonderful smells coming from the Kitchen. Elizabeth smiled and said, "Ok! Who cooked? My kitchen has to be in Shock?" She looked over and saw Ric shaking his head in agreement and started laughing.
Maxie grinned and said, "It's all my fault! I put the poor Kitchen into Shock. With Mac always working and Mom always running off someone had to learn how to cook or Georgie and I would starve. It's no big deal its just pasta and sauce with s salad and bread. Nik brought wine and Zander brought sparkling cider. Oh and we have apple pie and ice cream."
Ric walked over and hugged Maxie and said, "Thank you!"
The whole gang sat down to eat lunch and had a wonderful time. After Supper and the dishes it was time for more surprises. Lucky said, "Ok! Elizabeth you need to come with us we have something to show you in the studio."
They all walked to the studio Elizabeth in the lead. What she found simply amazed her. The sun room windows were draped with a beautiful white gauze that let in most of the light but gave a lot of privacy. All of her bedroom furniture had been moved into the studio and were set up. The bedding had been replaced by a new set in lighter colors. There was a new cabinet along the far wall that now held a TV and stereo and was full of CD's and Dvd's. The couch was by the fireplace still but it had a new throw. The room was full of wonderful vanilla candles and more flowers.
"Oh! My!" Elizabeth said her eyes full of happy tears. "This is so beautiful. Thank you all so much."
"Well said Steven in a teasing tone. "It was that wacko husband's idea He said 'Since stairs are a big No-No Lizzie this seemed like the perfect answer. You have to get a lot of rest and love this room so it was an easy fix."
Ric stepped up behind Elizabeth and wrapped his arms around Her. He said, "after the baby is born we will move back upstairs and turn this back into your studio. Since we had always planned on turning the room next to ours into a Nursery. Come on lets sit down."
"That's the one thing I will miss while I am pregnant, Painting," Elizabeth said her voice just a little sad. She was sitting on the couch by the fire resting her knee.
"We might have the answer for that problem!" Zander said grinning as he and Lucky carried two boxes to Elizabeth.
"What's this?" Elizabeth asked Looking at the boxes.
"Well if you open them you will find out." Emily said
Elizabeth Opened the first Box in it was a set of Acrylic paints and the new brushes for them she would need. The second box held watercolors and more new brushes.
"We figured that since oils were not allowed while you were pregnant that these would keep you busy." Zander said.
"Plus you can use the acrylic paints for a mural on the Nursery wall." Nik said.
'Well that will have to wait a little while I am gonna have a lift installed but it will be a couple weeks. In the mean time you can work on the drawings and plan what you want." Ric said.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with their friends. Later in the evening while Elizabeth was taking a nap Ric went out to get the mail. He found a letter addressed to Elizabeth Webber it had been forwarded from the studio to the cottage. The return address was Jason Morgan St. Simons Island. Ric folded the letter in half and placed it in his pocket before taking the other mail in.
It was a beautiful Valentines Day afternoon. Elizabeth and Ric were walking along the docks before going to their visit with Dr. Meadows at General Hospital. They came to the Staircase that led to the lower boardwalk by the water.
Elizabeth started giggling as Ric picked her up and carried her down the stairs. "Ric, Your not going to be able to carry me every where I am already getting Fat." Elizabeth said still laughing as Ric put her down on her feet.
"Sweet heart you are not getting fat." Ric said in a stern tone he sounded serious but you could see he was teasing her. "You get more beautiful everyday," He said as he Hugged her and they walked over to the bench. He loved looking at his beautiful wife. She had just started to wear the loose tops and bottoms. She just seemed to glow. Ric had never understood what that meant until Elizabeth got pregnant.
Elizabeth laughed and said, "It's getting harder and harder everyday to see my shoes." She patted her belly. "But seriously Ric we are gonna need to find someplace else to walk."
Ric helped her sit on the bench. "I thought you loved walking down here by the water?" He asked.
"Elizabeth looked out over the water and answered, "I do love it down here by the water."
Ric put his arm around her and leaned close to her ear and whispered, " Well when I can't safely carry you anymore we will come in down by 1st street they are putting in a handicapped ramp to all everyone access to the water front."
Jason had been back for a little over a month from Sonny's Island and now he was trying to keep an eye on Elizabeth. The restraining order made it difficult.
Courtney had a complete mental breakdown and was in Ferncliff. She was found to mentally unstable to stand trial and was very blessed that the ADA Cox had not pushed things. The doctors didn't give much hope for a speedy recovery.
Jason had realized after he had gotten to the island and had some thing to think things through that what he had tried to do to Elizabeth was not just wrong but insane in its own right. He had let his obsession to protect Courtney blind him to the pain and fear he had caused Elizabeth. He had written her a letter to try to apologize but it had been returned to him unopened.
He was walking along the docks when he saw Ric picking up a giggling Elizabeth and carries her down the staircase.
Jason needed to get to the other side of the docks and since he heard Elizabeth mention going to see Dr. Meadows he simply stepped back into the shadows to wait.
"Ric you know you don't have to come to every Doctors appointment with me we have extra because of the complications," Elizabeth said as she lay her head on his shoulder.
"I know that sweetheart and I may miss a few when the new case I have goes to court. I want to be with you through all of this. After all this is our baby." Ric answered as he kissed the side of her head. All of a sudden Elizabeth sat up straight and stiffened. She said," Oh! My!" her face full of shock and a little fear and her eyes very wide.
Concerned Ric asked, "what the matter Sweetheart is something wrong with the baby?
When Jason heard Elizabeth he stepped forward to see her but she could still not see Him.
Elizabeth suddenly broke out in a big grin and looking up at Ric her eyes still wide she said, "Here, here give me your Hand!" As she pulled Ric's hand over and laid it on her stomach. "Wait, Wait" she said very excited.
Ric sat very still with his hand laid flat on Elizabeth stomach.
"There did you fell that?" Elizabeth asked Looking at Ric. "Our baby it's kicking!"
Ric felt the little Fluttering kicks through Elizabeth stomach and looked at Elizabeth in awe. "The baby is kicking!" He said.
Jason watched the happy little family for a few minutes before he stepped back into the shadows. He realized he was angry that was his baby that had just kicked and Ric was the one they're with Elizabeth not him.
Later in Dr Meadows Office Elizabeth is having a Sonogram. "Oh, Look Ric you can see the baby moving!" Elizabeth said smiling.
Ric never took his eyes off the miracle on the screen. "Dr. Meadow's is our baby Ok?" he asked.
'"Everything is just fine. Would you like to know the baby's gender? She asked.
Ric Looked at Elizabeth and shook his head yes but he allowed her to answer Dr. Meadows.
Elizabeth smiled and said, "Yes I want to know is it a boy or a girl?"
Dr. Meadow's smiled and said, "I hope you like the color pink. You're going to have a girl."
After Liz and Ric had finally left the docks Jason pulled out his cell phone. "Hello Justus... Yes, I want to hire your legal services... No its not Sonny's business its personal."
Jason was sitting in Kelly's drinking coffee with Justus. "Ok! Let me make sure I have this straight. You had a one-night stand with a legally separated Elizabeth Lansing. She is now Pregnant and the child may be yours or her husbands. When you wife found out that Elizabeth could be pregnant she hit her with her car. When you found out she were pregnant tried to force Elizabeth into having an abortion. But now after a Time out from Sonny you have a change of heart. You want to sue to participate in her prenatal care and plan on going for sole custody." Justus asked amazed as he looked over the notes he had just taken.
"Yes!" Jason said taking a sip of coffee. He was emotionless as usual.
"Won't happen Jason! It will never happen. Elizabeth has returned to her marriage with Ric?" Justus laying his paperwork down and taking a sip from his own coffee
"Yes! She has. The same weekend we had sex she got back together with that Psycho!" Jason answered.
"Elizabeth has never even gotten more than a traffic ticket. Ric is now the DA and they have been married for almost a year?" Justus asked.
"Yes! I guess that's all true." Jason answered.
"Jason you tried to force her to kill this baby you claim to want. Elizabeth is a good person who has done nothing that would allow you to take that child and in this state any child born into a marriage is the legal child of the husband." Justus said trying to explain.
"Justus that may be my child." Jason stated.
"Jason you may not like this but legally its Ric's. The best you might be able to get is limited visitation after you establish paternity and you would have to go to court to even get the child tested." Justus explained.
"They have that early pregnancy test they can run by taking a little amniotic fluid out. They ran that kind of test on Carly. Can we get a order for that?" Jason asked.
"Is Elizabeth still having problems with this pregnancy?' Justus asked.
'I have no idea Justus. I still have this restraining order against me so I am not allowed anywhere near Elizabeth or her baby." Jason answered.
"We can try Jason. I will try to get a judge to hear this as soon as possible. But even if you establish paternity you still have a snowball's chance in hell of getting that child away from its mother." Justus said as he got up and gathered his papers to leave.
"Thank you, Justus." Jason said. "Sue for that test and to have this stupid restraining order lifted."
After a nice Valentines Day dinner of take out Elizabeth and Ric were laying on the floor in front of the fireplace on a big soft comforter and tons of pillows. The only light in the room was from the fireplace and tons of candles. They had Nora Jones playing on the stereo. Ric had his shirt off and was only wearing black sweat pants.
Elizabeth had on beautiful silk burgandy Pajamas. Ric had pulled the top you to bare her Stomach. He was rubbing her belly with Coca butter in small soothing circles.
"If I don't Lay off the Chocolate cheese cake I am gonna be as big as a house." Elizabeth said with a laugh. She was smiling as she watched Ric rubbing her stomach.
"Well with all your chocolate cravings we should have known this baby was a girl." Ric answered. His hand stopping long enough to get more cocoa butter before he started to rub her stomach again.
Ric leaned down so his face was just an inch from Elizabeth belly. " "Hello there little Girl, I'm your Daddy" he said as he spoke to Elizabeth stomach. "Your Mommy loves you very much and so do I."
The baby Kicked to answer and both Elizabeth and Ric started to laugh.
Elizabeth stared down at Ric and said, "Our daughter approves just like her Mommy."
Ric kissed Elizabeth's belly and then shifted up to kiss Elizabeth mouth. " I love you." He said.
"I love you to," Elizabeth answered wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him down to kiss him some more.
Pulling away Ric leaned over and whispered into Elizabeth ear, "Would you like to dance?"
Elizabeth was smiling, "I would love to." She answered.
Ric got up and then helped Elizabeth to her feet. He walked to stand behind Her pressing his chest to her back and wrapping arms around her. "I can hold you closer Like this." He said into her ear. "You're just tired of getting beat up by your daughter." Elizabeth answered.
Come Away started to play and stay dance swaying to the music enjoying the fee of each other.
Jason was sitting on the bench down by the docks in the dark. "Thank you Justus." He said into his cell phone. "When are they going to be served... that soon... wonderful." He ended the call and got up to walk back to his penthouse.
Ric woke to the sound of the door bell ringing. He leaned over to make sure Elizabeth was still asleep before he pulled on his robe and went to answer the door.
He opened the door and found a small dark haired man dressed in a dark suit. The man asked"Are you Richard Lansing?
Ric looked at the man strangely and answered, "Yes, I am. Do you realize it's only 6 am?"
The man in dark suit answered, "Yes I am sorry sir but I needed to do this as soon as possible." He handed Ric an envelope. When Ric took it, The man said, "You have been served."
Judge Ruth Kuhlman had spent the morning listen to the case of Morgan vs. Lansing and it was now time for closing arguments. "Mr. Ward are you prepared to give your closing statement."
"Yes, your honor." Justus ward said as he got up to stand before the Judge. "My client Jason Morgan came to this court asking for three simple things. He asked that the restraining order taken against him by a vengeful husband be removed. He asked for a paternity test to be run on an ex lover to determine if he is the child's father so that he can take responsibility now. Finally my client asked that he be allowed, if He is established as the father to participate in any and all prenatal visits and decisions. This man is the possible father of the child and would simply like to be involved in his or her life from the beginning. Thank you!" Then he returned to his seat.
"Thank you Mr. Ward. Ms. Davis you may give you closing statement now."
Alexis got up and walked to stand in front of the Judge. "Thank you Judge Kuhlman. Alexis said as she removed her glasses and began. " My Client's Elizabeth and Richard Lansing are simply trying to live a quiet Life and prepare for the Birth of this Child. The Lansing does not deny that Elizabeth while they were legally separate had a one-night stand with Mr. Morgan. But I need to remind the court of a couple of very important facts. 1. Mr. Morgan came to Mrs. Lansing's studio 2 days after they had sex and demanded that she not tell anyone. 2. When he realized that Elizabeth could be pregnant with his child he sent to mob goons to kidnap Mrs. Lansing from her Hospital room and force her to abort."
Justus stood up and said, "I object your honor?"
Judge Kuhlman said, "Denied Mr. Justus, it has been established that 2 men in Mr. Morgan's employment were arrested and charge with the attempted Kidnapping of Elizabeth Lansing. You may continue Ms. Davis."
"Thank you, your honor. That attempted Kidnapping along with his threats to Mrs. Lansing directly after her surgery is the reason why Judge Waters granted the restraining order against Mr. Morgan. Mrs. Lansing was hospitalized at that time because Mr. Morgan's wife attempted to murder Mrs. Lansing and her unborn child by hitting them with her car. As you can see your Honor Mr. Lansing is not being vengeful he is simply concerned for his wife's well being and that of his unborn child. On the second request, The paternity tests. You have heard the expert testimony of Mrs. Lansing's doctor, Dr. Meadows. Who has stated for the record that an amniocentesis is not called for at all in the case and could in fact cause Mrs. Lansing, who is having a problem pregnancy because of Mr. Morgan's wife, to loose this child she and her husband want so badly. Finally on the third request to be included in any and all prenatal Visits. Judge Kuhlman that is a direct volition to Elizabeth Lansing's right to privacy. If she chooses to include her husband, it is her choice. But to force the inclusion of someone else is against her civil rights. Thank you." Alexis said. She then went back to her seat.
"Thank you Ms. Davis, Mr. Ward I am ready to render my verdict" Judge Kuhlman said. She looked out into the room first at Jason Morgan and then at the Lansing's who had held hands through the entire proceedings. "On the matter of the restraining order I am denying your request to have it lifted. Mr. Morgan's actions towards Mrs. Lansing and his Long history of crimes and assaults in this city force me to not only agree with Judge waters who put it in place but to add to it. Mr. Morgan you are denied any and all contact with Mrs. Lansing for the next 6 months. That includes but is not limited to in person visits, letters, phone calls or Email. At the end of the 6 months I will have another Hearing to establish what should be done at that point. If Mr. Morgan feels the need to contact Mrs. Lansing he may do so through Ms. Davis."
Jason stood up and said, "No way judge you deny me any access but you don't ban her psycho Husband."
"Mr. Morgan sit down now!" Judge Kuhlman said in an angry tone. "Mr. Ward you need to control you client. Any more out busts Mr. Morgan and you will be found in contempt of my court and Fined.
Yes your honor!" Justus said as he reached over grabbing Jason's arm and pulled him down to his chair. "Jason this Judge is serious she will fine you."
"On the second request the paternity test. I am also denying that motion. There is no reason to place Mrs. Lansing's child under anymore stress. The doctor has stated that the test is not needed to establish anything about this baby's health." Judge Kuhlman said.
Jason stood Up again, " Your honor I have a right to know if that is my child!"
"Sit down! Mr. Morgan, I am fining you $500 for the contempt you have shown this court. Please stop with your outburst or I will have you arrested." Judge Kuhlman said. "You may be used to Dealing with Judges that your employer has on his payroll but I am not one of them."
"On the third request. That Mr. Morgan be allowed to attend all of the prenatal visits I am also denying that. Mrs. Lansing has to right to include anyone she chooses but it is against her rights to force the inclusion of Mr. Morgan. Ms. Davis, Mr. Ward this concludes these proceedings. Thank you Ladies and Gentleman." Judge Kuhlman said as she left the courtroom.
Ric and Elizabeth were very happy with the ruling they hugged and kissed each other then they both hugged Alexis. "Thank you!" Ric said as he shook Alexis' hand.
"Yes, Thank you so very Much Alexis." Elizabeth said as she hugged Alexis again.
Alexis smiled and said. "I'm just glad I have been able to help I want your baby to be happy and safe."
Jason stood across the courtroom and Glared at the happy couple. He reached into his pocket and took out his cell phone and speed dialed a number. He said into the Phone. "Mauer...Yes I want it set up...Install it now..." He shut off the phone and looked at Elizabeth and Ric one last time. He smiled a cold smile and slowly walked out of the courtroom.
Emily and Maxie had been shopping all morning. They had been getting baby gifts for Elizabeth baby and were now in Kelly's for Hot Cocoa. Emily excused herself to go to the ladies room and Maxie set her bag on the table. The bag shifted and fell over and the contents came spilling out on to the floor. Maxie bent down to start picking up all the pink baby clothes when she heard a familiar mans voice. "Hi, would you like some help?" It asked. Looking up Maxie realized it was Sonny and he was holding a little set of pink and white Bunny slippers.
Maxie reached out and snatched the slippers out of Sonny's hand. "I've got it. Thank you." Maxie said. She was embarrassed because it wasn't really common knowledge that Elizabeth was having a girl.
Well I guess all this Pink mean Ric and Elizabeth are having a little girl?" sonny asked. He understood why Maxie was so uncomfortable. "It's funny because either way I am gonna be her uncle," he added as he started out the door.
Elizabeth and Ric had returned home had been arguing all the way home about any stupid little thing you could think of it had all started over the heat vents in the car and had gone on from there. Walking through the door Elizabeth Turned to Ric and said, "And another thing. I am really pissed about that letter Jason had sent me. Why is it you knew about it and Alexis knows about it. But I knew nothing about it?
'Well sweetheart..." Ric started but he was cut off by Elizabeth who was at this point now yelling.
Don't sweetheart me! You're jealous and don't trust me that am why you did that. Now that I'm fat and ugly you are looking for a way to not to have to be with me." Elizabeth said tears streaming down her face. "That's it! If you don't trust me you need to leave." She started crying even harder.
"Fine I will leave because you are making NO sense at all!" Ric said as he walked out slamming the door.
Elizabeth went in the studio and grabbed the old afghan off the back of the couch and curled up to cry.
Ric went to Luke's. He forgot it was St Patrick's day. He was sitting at the bar Drinking his Bourbon. Trying to figure out where his wife was and who was that insane woman in his house.
Luke walked out of the back Room and up to Ric at the bar. He put a clean glass on the counter and poured Ric a double Irish whiskey. "Happy St. Pats Day Mr. DA. Why are you in my fine establishment and not home with that pretty wife of yours." Luke asked with a twinkle in his eye.
"Because she kicked me out. Told me if I didn't trust her I needed to leave. "Ric answered. Then he downed the whiskey quickly and winced.
"Oh she did. Did she? I can feel for you my poor boy those pregnancy mood swings are a killer. Wait a little while, then go home and say you're sorry. Then kiss and make up." Luke said as he filled Ric's glass again.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Ric answered.
Elizabeth heard a knock at the door. She wiped her face and went to answer it. Opening it she was surprised to find Sonny.
Sonny was surprised when Elizabeth answered the door because she looked so sad. Her nose and eyes were red from crying.
Elizabeth saw it was Sonny and said, "Oh, Sonny it's you."
"Hi, Elizabeth what's the matter?" "Why are you crying?" Sonny asked as he took off his coat and laid it on a chair
"I don't know!" Elizabeth said as she burst into tears and turned to walk back into the house. I just had a stupid fight with Ric. I was acting crazy and now He's gone." Her voice kept breaking as she sobbed.
'Oh Elizabeth, its just Mood swings." Sonny said with a big smile. "If you think your bad you should have seen Carly."
"But Ric's so upset he's left me!" Elizabeth said very upset.
'He'll be back Elizabeth. Ric Love's you. You're his whole world. Now, how about I make you some Herb tea. It's great for mood swings. "Sonny said as he started to walk into the kitchen followed by Elizabeth.
Ric had been sitting in Luke's at the bar for a while He had just had is Bourbon refilled. Luke walked out of the back room and held out his hand. "I need your Keys before you start drinking that Ric if you drink that one you go home in a cab.' He said as he waited.
Ric reached into his pocket and pulled out his key's. "That's fine with me." Ric said before taking another swing from his drink.
Jason was sitting in his penthouse with a lap top computer on his coffee table. On the screen was the living room of the Lansing house. "They may want to keep me out but I will be a part of my child's life and I am not waiting until June." Jason said out loud to an empty room.
He was surprised when he saw Sonny and Elizabeth walking out of the Kitchen with cups. They both sat on the couch and started to talk. "What's Sonny doing at Ric's house?" Jason wondered out loud. Ric had been sitting at Luke's bar long enough to be slightly drunk but not totally wasted. After being pinch on the ass by Penny of all people Luke reminded him that It was St. Patrick's day and people who don't wear green get pinched. Taking pity on him Luke had given him a button from behind the counter to wear it read "Kiss me, I'm Irish!" He felt a tap on his shoulder and turning on his barstool he found himself face to face with a beautiful dark haired woman. She was wearing the tightest lowest cut jeans in the bar and the string from her thong green of course wear visible above the top of the jeans. She also had on a black leather jacket and a little short top with Tinkerbell on it. Before he had a chance to react she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him
Sonny and Elizabeth had finished their tea. Elizabeth smiled and said, "Thank you! So why are you here anyway Sonny?"
"Well I have something for you or rather for your baby." Sonny said as he got up and reached into his coat pocket. He took out a black velvet jewelry box. It was old and some of the velvet had been rubbed away by age. He handed it to Elizabeth. "Here you go."
Elizabeth took the Box from Sonny. "What's this?" she asked.
"Open it and Find out." Sonny said smiling.
Elizabeth took the box and opened it. Inside she found an old silver charm bracelet. It was covered with charms, a poodle, a ballet dancer and even one that read "Class of '62". Elizabeth looked up at sonny.
"That charm bracelet was my mothers, well actually Ric's and mine. She got the charms from her mother and aunts while she was growing up. When I left home at 16 she gave it to me and I promised to give it to her first granddaughter. Since I heard that your having a girl the bracelet goes to her. "Sonny said with a sad smile.
"But Sonny, What if this baby is really Jason's?" Elizabeth asked her voice no more than a whisper. She hated to even say it out loud.
Oh Honey sonny said regardless of the biology of your baby. Its gonna Be Ric's daughter, Just like Michael will always be my son. That makes this little Girl the first granddaughter. My mother would have loved her. It wouldn't have mattered if she is a blue eyes blonde or had My mother brown eyes and dark curls. Just like Michael red hair doesn't change the fact he's my son. Ric loves you and this baby. She will be my niece regardless." Sonny said.
Elizabeth Hugged Sonny her eyes full of tears and said "Thank you!"
Jason slammed the Laptop shut. He took the beer bottle and sailed it into the wall. He yelled at no one "How dare Sonny betray me That baby will be My daughter No that Psycho Ric's."
Ric grabbed the dark haired girl by the Arms and pulled her backwards. "What the Hell?" He said.
The Girl laughed and said. "Well baby! I was just following what your Button said to do. I'm Amanda by the way.
Ric glared at the pretty young woman. "I'm married." Ric said
"I'm not baby!" Amanda said with a giggle. "That works in your favor. It's a holiday. Why don't you bring your sexy self back to my place? We can make Love all night long!"
Ric was looking at the young woman like she was crazy. "The only person I want to make love to is my wife." He said.
"Then why are you here keeping that bar stool warm and not in bed with your wife."Amanda asked.
"She was in an accident. So we can not have sex or she will loose our baby." Ric said as he drank the last of his bourbon in on gulp.
Luke walked over to bar and laughed. "Tinkerbell darling you need to find someone else to flirt with darling Mr. DA here is very much married."
"Hey Luke! Did you know that Mr. DA here is a democrat?" Amanda asked laughing the whole time.
Ric looked at her like she was crazy. "A democrat? I'm not a democrat."
Amanda winked and Luke and then said. "Sure you are. Just like old Bill. You seem to think that sex is simply fucking. If you took the time to think things through you would remember that there's a whole lot you could be doing with your wife."
Luke grinned and started Laughing. "Great point their Tink! Free drinks for you and your ladies friends for the rest of the night on me." He said.
Ric turned around on the stool and looked at Luke was laughing at the expression on Ric's face he looked like a kid on Christmas morning. "Do me a favor call me a cab. I'm gonna go home and Make love to my wife."
Luke looked at him as he tried to stand. He was laughing as he said. "Ric my boy your gonna go home and Puke and pass out. But I'll call you a cab."
Sonny and Elizabeth were startled by the sound of someone pounding on the door. Before Elizabeth could get to it she could her Ric calling out " Elizabeth Baby I'm sorry, Let me in please. I'm sorry"
Elizabeth opened the door and Found Ric leaning against the doorframe. He had a silly grin on his face and a button on his shirt that said "Kiss me, I'm Irish."
He grabbed Elizabeth hand and pulled her into the room with him. Seeing Sonny standing in his living room he said, "Hi Sonny, You need to leave now. I'm gonna make love to my wife." That said he pulled Elizabeth into a serious kiss.
Elizabeth was very embarrassed and her face turned bright red but she also started to giggle. "Ric you are being Rude!" She said as she swatted him on the arm. "Besides you know we can't make love."
Ric pulled her close to him and kissed Her neck. "No we can't have intercourse, but as Tinkerbell reminded me tonight we can definitely make love. Now I would carry you to bed but I'm more than a little drunk and your more than a little pregnant so will you please come to the bedroom with me? I want you naked and in my bed Now!" Ric said in a very sexy voice.
Looking over at the younger couple Sonny grabbed His coat and as he walked out the door He yelled over his shoulder. "I'll let myself out! Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
Elizabeth was very surprised when the front door was opened for them. Inside was a banner hanging over the fireplace that read Welcome Home! The Great room was full of fresh flowers and there was a fire in the fireplace.
Lucky, Maxie , Zander , Emily and Nik were all in the Great room yelling, "Surprise."
Steven who had opened the door walked up behind them and said, "Welcome Home Lizzie!"
Ric let Elizabeth stand and she hugged everyone saying, "thank you!"
The dinning table was set with Elizabeth's china and fresh flowers. There were some wonderful smells coming from the Kitchen. Elizabeth smiled and said, "Ok! Who cooked? My kitchen has to be in Shock?" She looked over and saw Ric shaking his head in agreement and started laughing.
Maxie grinned and said, "It's all my fault! I put the poor Kitchen into Shock. With Mac always working and Mom always running off someone had to learn how to cook or Georgie and I would starve. It's no big deal its just pasta and sauce with s salad and bread. Nik brought wine and Zander brought sparkling cider. Oh and we have apple pie and ice cream."
Ric walked over and hugged Maxie and said, "Thank you!"
The whole gang sat down to eat lunch and had a wonderful time. After Supper and the dishes it was time for more surprises. Lucky said, "Ok! Elizabeth you need to come with us we have something to show you in the studio."
They all walked to the studio Elizabeth in the lead. What she found simply amazed her. The sun room windows were draped with a beautiful white gauze that let in most of the light but gave a lot of privacy. All of her bedroom furniture had been moved into the studio and were set up. The bedding had been replaced by a new set in lighter colors. There was a new cabinet along the far wall that now held a TV and stereo and was full of CD's and Dvd's. The couch was by the fireplace still but it had a new throw. The room was full of wonderful vanilla candles and more flowers.
"Oh! My!" Elizabeth said her eyes full of happy tears. "This is so beautiful. Thank you all so much."
"Well said Steven in a teasing tone. "It was that wacko husband's idea He said 'Since stairs are a big No-No Lizzie this seemed like the perfect answer. You have to get a lot of rest and love this room so it was an easy fix."
Ric stepped up behind Elizabeth and wrapped his arms around Her. He said, "after the baby is born we will move back upstairs and turn this back into your studio. Since we had always planned on turning the room next to ours into a Nursery. Come on lets sit down."
"That's the one thing I will miss while I am pregnant, Painting," Elizabeth said her voice just a little sad. She was sitting on the couch by the fire resting her knee.
"We might have the answer for that problem!" Zander said grinning as he and Lucky carried two boxes to Elizabeth.
"What's this?" Elizabeth asked Looking at the boxes.
"Well if you open them you will find out." Emily said
Elizabeth Opened the first Box in it was a set of Acrylic paints and the new brushes for them she would need. The second box held watercolors and more new brushes.
"We figured that since oils were not allowed while you were pregnant that these would keep you busy." Zander said.
"Plus you can use the acrylic paints for a mural on the Nursery wall." Nik said.
'Well that will have to wait a little while I am gonna have a lift installed but it will be a couple weeks. In the mean time you can work on the drawings and plan what you want." Ric said.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with their friends. Later in the evening while Elizabeth was taking a nap Ric went out to get the mail. He found a letter addressed to Elizabeth Webber it had been forwarded from the studio to the cottage. The return address was Jason Morgan St. Simons Island. Ric folded the letter in half and placed it in his pocket before taking the other mail in.
It was a beautiful Valentines Day afternoon. Elizabeth and Ric were walking along the docks before going to their visit with Dr. Meadows at General Hospital. They came to the Staircase that led to the lower boardwalk by the water.
Elizabeth started giggling as Ric picked her up and carried her down the stairs. "Ric, Your not going to be able to carry me every where I am already getting Fat." Elizabeth said still laughing as Ric put her down on her feet.
"Sweet heart you are not getting fat." Ric said in a stern tone he sounded serious but you could see he was teasing her. "You get more beautiful everyday," He said as he Hugged her and they walked over to the bench. He loved looking at his beautiful wife. She had just started to wear the loose tops and bottoms. She just seemed to glow. Ric had never understood what that meant until Elizabeth got pregnant.
Elizabeth laughed and said, "It's getting harder and harder everyday to see my shoes." She patted her belly. "But seriously Ric we are gonna need to find someplace else to walk."
Ric helped her sit on the bench. "I thought you loved walking down here by the water?" He asked.
"Elizabeth looked out over the water and answered, "I do love it down here by the water."
Ric put his arm around her and leaned close to her ear and whispered, " Well when I can't safely carry you anymore we will come in down by 1st street they are putting in a handicapped ramp to all everyone access to the water front."
Jason had been back for a little over a month from Sonny's Island and now he was trying to keep an eye on Elizabeth. The restraining order made it difficult.
Courtney had a complete mental breakdown and was in Ferncliff. She was found to mentally unstable to stand trial and was very blessed that the ADA Cox had not pushed things. The doctors didn't give much hope for a speedy recovery.
Jason had realized after he had gotten to the island and had some thing to think things through that what he had tried to do to Elizabeth was not just wrong but insane in its own right. He had let his obsession to protect Courtney blind him to the pain and fear he had caused Elizabeth. He had written her a letter to try to apologize but it had been returned to him unopened.
He was walking along the docks when he saw Ric picking up a giggling Elizabeth and carries her down the staircase.
Jason needed to get to the other side of the docks and since he heard Elizabeth mention going to see Dr. Meadows he simply stepped back into the shadows to wait.
"Ric you know you don't have to come to every Doctors appointment with me we have extra because of the complications," Elizabeth said as she lay her head on his shoulder.
"I know that sweetheart and I may miss a few when the new case I have goes to court. I want to be with you through all of this. After all this is our baby." Ric answered as he kissed the side of her head. All of a sudden Elizabeth sat up straight and stiffened. She said," Oh! My!" her face full of shock and a little fear and her eyes very wide.
Concerned Ric asked, "what the matter Sweetheart is something wrong with the baby?
When Jason heard Elizabeth he stepped forward to see her but she could still not see Him.
Elizabeth suddenly broke out in a big grin and looking up at Ric her eyes still wide she said, "Here, here give me your Hand!" As she pulled Ric's hand over and laid it on her stomach. "Wait, Wait" she said very excited.
Ric sat very still with his hand laid flat on Elizabeth stomach.
"There did you fell that?" Elizabeth asked Looking at Ric. "Our baby it's kicking!"
Ric felt the little Fluttering kicks through Elizabeth stomach and looked at Elizabeth in awe. "The baby is kicking!" He said.
Jason watched the happy little family for a few minutes before he stepped back into the shadows. He realized he was angry that was his baby that had just kicked and Ric was the one they're with Elizabeth not him.
Later in Dr Meadows Office Elizabeth is having a Sonogram. "Oh, Look Ric you can see the baby moving!" Elizabeth said smiling.
Ric never took his eyes off the miracle on the screen. "Dr. Meadow's is our baby Ok?" he asked.
'"Everything is just fine. Would you like to know the baby's gender? She asked.
Ric Looked at Elizabeth and shook his head yes but he allowed her to answer Dr. Meadows.
Elizabeth smiled and said, "Yes I want to know is it a boy or a girl?"
Dr. Meadow's smiled and said, "I hope you like the color pink. You're going to have a girl."
After Liz and Ric had finally left the docks Jason pulled out his cell phone. "Hello Justus... Yes, I want to hire your legal services... No its not Sonny's business its personal."
Jason was sitting in Kelly's drinking coffee with Justus. "Ok! Let me make sure I have this straight. You had a one-night stand with a legally separated Elizabeth Lansing. She is now Pregnant and the child may be yours or her husbands. When you wife found out that Elizabeth could be pregnant she hit her with her car. When you found out she were pregnant tried to force Elizabeth into having an abortion. But now after a Time out from Sonny you have a change of heart. You want to sue to participate in her prenatal care and plan on going for sole custody." Justus asked amazed as he looked over the notes he had just taken.
"Yes!" Jason said taking a sip of coffee. He was emotionless as usual.
"Won't happen Jason! It will never happen. Elizabeth has returned to her marriage with Ric?" Justus laying his paperwork down and taking a sip from his own coffee
"Yes! She has. The same weekend we had sex she got back together with that Psycho!" Jason answered.
"Elizabeth has never even gotten more than a traffic ticket. Ric is now the DA and they have been married for almost a year?" Justus asked.
"Yes! I guess that's all true." Jason answered.
"Jason you tried to force her to kill this baby you claim to want. Elizabeth is a good person who has done nothing that would allow you to take that child and in this state any child born into a marriage is the legal child of the husband." Justus said trying to explain.
"Justus that may be my child." Jason stated.
"Jason you may not like this but legally its Ric's. The best you might be able to get is limited visitation after you establish paternity and you would have to go to court to even get the child tested." Justus explained.
"They have that early pregnancy test they can run by taking a little amniotic fluid out. They ran that kind of test on Carly. Can we get a order for that?" Jason asked.
"Is Elizabeth still having problems with this pregnancy?' Justus asked.
'I have no idea Justus. I still have this restraining order against me so I am not allowed anywhere near Elizabeth or her baby." Jason answered.
"We can try Jason. I will try to get a judge to hear this as soon as possible. But even if you establish paternity you still have a snowball's chance in hell of getting that child away from its mother." Justus said as he got up and gathered his papers to leave.
"Thank you, Justus." Jason said. "Sue for that test and to have this stupid restraining order lifted."
After a nice Valentines Day dinner of take out Elizabeth and Ric were laying on the floor in front of the fireplace on a big soft comforter and tons of pillows. The only light in the room was from the fireplace and tons of candles. They had Nora Jones playing on the stereo. Ric had his shirt off and was only wearing black sweat pants.
Elizabeth had on beautiful silk burgandy Pajamas. Ric had pulled the top you to bare her Stomach. He was rubbing her belly with Coca butter in small soothing circles.
"If I don't Lay off the Chocolate cheese cake I am gonna be as big as a house." Elizabeth said with a laugh. She was smiling as she watched Ric rubbing her stomach.
"Well with all your chocolate cravings we should have known this baby was a girl." Ric answered. His hand stopping long enough to get more cocoa butter before he started to rub her stomach again.
Ric leaned down so his face was just an inch from Elizabeth belly. " "Hello there little Girl, I'm your Daddy" he said as he spoke to Elizabeth stomach. "Your Mommy loves you very much and so do I."
The baby Kicked to answer and both Elizabeth and Ric started to laugh.
Elizabeth stared down at Ric and said, "Our daughter approves just like her Mommy."
Ric kissed Elizabeth's belly and then shifted up to kiss Elizabeth mouth. " I love you." He said.
"I love you to," Elizabeth answered wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him down to kiss him some more.
Pulling away Ric leaned over and whispered into Elizabeth ear, "Would you like to dance?"
Elizabeth was smiling, "I would love to." She answered.
Ric got up and then helped Elizabeth to her feet. He walked to stand behind Her pressing his chest to her back and wrapping arms around her. "I can hold you closer Like this." He said into her ear. "You're just tired of getting beat up by your daughter." Elizabeth answered.
Come Away started to play and stay dance swaying to the music enjoying the fee of each other.
Jason was sitting on the bench down by the docks in the dark. "Thank you Justus." He said into his cell phone. "When are they going to be served... that soon... wonderful." He ended the call and got up to walk back to his penthouse.
Ric woke to the sound of the door bell ringing. He leaned over to make sure Elizabeth was still asleep before he pulled on his robe and went to answer the door.
He opened the door and found a small dark haired man dressed in a dark suit. The man asked"Are you Richard Lansing?
Ric looked at the man strangely and answered, "Yes, I am. Do you realize it's only 6 am?"
The man in dark suit answered, "Yes I am sorry sir but I needed to do this as soon as possible." He handed Ric an envelope. When Ric took it, The man said, "You have been served."
Judge Ruth Kuhlman had spent the morning listen to the case of Morgan vs. Lansing and it was now time for closing arguments. "Mr. Ward are you prepared to give your closing statement."
"Yes, your honor." Justus ward said as he got up to stand before the Judge. "My client Jason Morgan came to this court asking for three simple things. He asked that the restraining order taken against him by a vengeful husband be removed. He asked for a paternity test to be run on an ex lover to determine if he is the child's father so that he can take responsibility now. Finally my client asked that he be allowed, if He is established as the father to participate in any and all prenatal visits and decisions. This man is the possible father of the child and would simply like to be involved in his or her life from the beginning. Thank you!" Then he returned to his seat.
"Thank you Mr. Ward. Ms. Davis you may give you closing statement now."
Alexis got up and walked to stand in front of the Judge. "Thank you Judge Kuhlman. Alexis said as she removed her glasses and began. " My Client's Elizabeth and Richard Lansing are simply trying to live a quiet Life and prepare for the Birth of this Child. The Lansing does not deny that Elizabeth while they were legally separate had a one-night stand with Mr. Morgan. But I need to remind the court of a couple of very important facts. 1. Mr. Morgan came to Mrs. Lansing's studio 2 days after they had sex and demanded that she not tell anyone. 2. When he realized that Elizabeth could be pregnant with his child he sent to mob goons to kidnap Mrs. Lansing from her Hospital room and force her to abort."
Justus stood up and said, "I object your honor?"
Judge Kuhlman said, "Denied Mr. Justus, it has been established that 2 men in Mr. Morgan's employment were arrested and charge with the attempted Kidnapping of Elizabeth Lansing. You may continue Ms. Davis."
"Thank you, your honor. That attempted Kidnapping along with his threats to Mrs. Lansing directly after her surgery is the reason why Judge Waters granted the restraining order against Mr. Morgan. Mrs. Lansing was hospitalized at that time because Mr. Morgan's wife attempted to murder Mrs. Lansing and her unborn child by hitting them with her car. As you can see your Honor Mr. Lansing is not being vengeful he is simply concerned for his wife's well being and that of his unborn child. On the second request, The paternity tests. You have heard the expert testimony of Mrs. Lansing's doctor, Dr. Meadows. Who has stated for the record that an amniocentesis is not called for at all in the case and could in fact cause Mrs. Lansing, who is having a problem pregnancy because of Mr. Morgan's wife, to loose this child she and her husband want so badly. Finally on the third request to be included in any and all prenatal Visits. Judge Kuhlman that is a direct volition to Elizabeth Lansing's right to privacy. If she chooses to include her husband, it is her choice. But to force the inclusion of someone else is against her civil rights. Thank you." Alexis said. She then went back to her seat.
"Thank you Ms. Davis, Mr. Ward I am ready to render my verdict" Judge Kuhlman said. She looked out into the room first at Jason Morgan and then at the Lansing's who had held hands through the entire proceedings. "On the matter of the restraining order I am denying your request to have it lifted. Mr. Morgan's actions towards Mrs. Lansing and his Long history of crimes and assaults in this city force me to not only agree with Judge waters who put it in place but to add to it. Mr. Morgan you are denied any and all contact with Mrs. Lansing for the next 6 months. That includes but is not limited to in person visits, letters, phone calls or Email. At the end of the 6 months I will have another Hearing to establish what should be done at that point. If Mr. Morgan feels the need to contact Mrs. Lansing he may do so through Ms. Davis."
Jason stood up and said, "No way judge you deny me any access but you don't ban her psycho Husband."
"Mr. Morgan sit down now!" Judge Kuhlman said in an angry tone. "Mr. Ward you need to control you client. Any more out busts Mr. Morgan and you will be found in contempt of my court and Fined.
Yes your honor!" Justus said as he reached over grabbing Jason's arm and pulled him down to his chair. "Jason this Judge is serious she will fine you."
"On the second request the paternity test. I am also denying that motion. There is no reason to place Mrs. Lansing's child under anymore stress. The doctor has stated that the test is not needed to establish anything about this baby's health." Judge Kuhlman said.
Jason stood Up again, " Your honor I have a right to know if that is my child!"
"Sit down! Mr. Morgan, I am fining you $500 for the contempt you have shown this court. Please stop with your outburst or I will have you arrested." Judge Kuhlman said. "You may be used to Dealing with Judges that your employer has on his payroll but I am not one of them."
"On the third request. That Mr. Morgan be allowed to attend all of the prenatal visits I am also denying that. Mrs. Lansing has to right to include anyone she chooses but it is against her rights to force the inclusion of Mr. Morgan. Ms. Davis, Mr. Ward this concludes these proceedings. Thank you Ladies and Gentleman." Judge Kuhlman said as she left the courtroom.
Ric and Elizabeth were very happy with the ruling they hugged and kissed each other then they both hugged Alexis. "Thank you!" Ric said as he shook Alexis' hand.
"Yes, Thank you so very Much Alexis." Elizabeth said as she hugged Alexis again.
Alexis smiled and said. "I'm just glad I have been able to help I want your baby to be happy and safe."
Jason stood across the courtroom and Glared at the happy couple. He reached into his pocket and took out his cell phone and speed dialed a number. He said into the Phone. "Mauer...Yes I want it set up...Install it now..." He shut off the phone and looked at Elizabeth and Ric one last time. He smiled a cold smile and slowly walked out of the courtroom.
Emily and Maxie had been shopping all morning. They had been getting baby gifts for Elizabeth baby and were now in Kelly's for Hot Cocoa. Emily excused herself to go to the ladies room and Maxie set her bag on the table. The bag shifted and fell over and the contents came spilling out on to the floor. Maxie bent down to start picking up all the pink baby clothes when she heard a familiar mans voice. "Hi, would you like some help?" It asked. Looking up Maxie realized it was Sonny and he was holding a little set of pink and white Bunny slippers.
Maxie reached out and snatched the slippers out of Sonny's hand. "I've got it. Thank you." Maxie said. She was embarrassed because it wasn't really common knowledge that Elizabeth was having a girl.
Well I guess all this Pink mean Ric and Elizabeth are having a little girl?" sonny asked. He understood why Maxie was so uncomfortable. "It's funny because either way I am gonna be her uncle," he added as he started out the door.
Elizabeth and Ric had returned home had been arguing all the way home about any stupid little thing you could think of it had all started over the heat vents in the car and had gone on from there. Walking through the door Elizabeth Turned to Ric and said, "And another thing. I am really pissed about that letter Jason had sent me. Why is it you knew about it and Alexis knows about it. But I knew nothing about it?
'Well sweetheart..." Ric started but he was cut off by Elizabeth who was at this point now yelling.
Don't sweetheart me! You're jealous and don't trust me that am why you did that. Now that I'm fat and ugly you are looking for a way to not to have to be with me." Elizabeth said tears streaming down her face. "That's it! If you don't trust me you need to leave." She started crying even harder.
"Fine I will leave because you are making NO sense at all!" Ric said as he walked out slamming the door.
Elizabeth went in the studio and grabbed the old afghan off the back of the couch and curled up to cry.
Ric went to Luke's. He forgot it was St Patrick's day. He was sitting at the bar Drinking his Bourbon. Trying to figure out where his wife was and who was that insane woman in his house.
Luke walked out of the back Room and up to Ric at the bar. He put a clean glass on the counter and poured Ric a double Irish whiskey. "Happy St. Pats Day Mr. DA. Why are you in my fine establishment and not home with that pretty wife of yours." Luke asked with a twinkle in his eye.
"Because she kicked me out. Told me if I didn't trust her I needed to leave. "Ric answered. Then he downed the whiskey quickly and winced.
"Oh she did. Did she? I can feel for you my poor boy those pregnancy mood swings are a killer. Wait a little while, then go home and say you're sorry. Then kiss and make up." Luke said as he filled Ric's glass again.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Ric answered.
Elizabeth heard a knock at the door. She wiped her face and went to answer it. Opening it she was surprised to find Sonny.
Sonny was surprised when Elizabeth answered the door because she looked so sad. Her nose and eyes were red from crying.
Elizabeth saw it was Sonny and said, "Oh, Sonny it's you."
"Hi, Elizabeth what's the matter?" "Why are you crying?" Sonny asked as he took off his coat and laid it on a chair
"I don't know!" Elizabeth said as she burst into tears and turned to walk back into the house. I just had a stupid fight with Ric. I was acting crazy and now He's gone." Her voice kept breaking as she sobbed.
'Oh Elizabeth, its just Mood swings." Sonny said with a big smile. "If you think your bad you should have seen Carly."
"But Ric's so upset he's left me!" Elizabeth said very upset.
'He'll be back Elizabeth. Ric Love's you. You're his whole world. Now, how about I make you some Herb tea. It's great for mood swings. "Sonny said as he started to walk into the kitchen followed by Elizabeth.
Ric had been sitting in Luke's at the bar for a while He had just had is Bourbon refilled. Luke walked out of the back room and held out his hand. "I need your Keys before you start drinking that Ric if you drink that one you go home in a cab.' He said as he waited.
Ric reached into his pocket and pulled out his key's. "That's fine with me." Ric said before taking another swing from his drink.
Jason was sitting in his penthouse with a lap top computer on his coffee table. On the screen was the living room of the Lansing house. "They may want to keep me out but I will be a part of my child's life and I am not waiting until June." Jason said out loud to an empty room.
He was surprised when he saw Sonny and Elizabeth walking out of the Kitchen with cups. They both sat on the couch and started to talk. "What's Sonny doing at Ric's house?" Jason wondered out loud. Ric had been sitting at Luke's bar long enough to be slightly drunk but not totally wasted. After being pinch on the ass by Penny of all people Luke reminded him that It was St. Patrick's day and people who don't wear green get pinched. Taking pity on him Luke had given him a button from behind the counter to wear it read "Kiss me, I'm Irish!" He felt a tap on his shoulder and turning on his barstool he found himself face to face with a beautiful dark haired woman. She was wearing the tightest lowest cut jeans in the bar and the string from her thong green of course wear visible above the top of the jeans. She also had on a black leather jacket and a little short top with Tinkerbell on it. Before he had a chance to react she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him
Sonny and Elizabeth had finished their tea. Elizabeth smiled and said, "Thank you! So why are you here anyway Sonny?"
"Well I have something for you or rather for your baby." Sonny said as he got up and reached into his coat pocket. He took out a black velvet jewelry box. It was old and some of the velvet had been rubbed away by age. He handed it to Elizabeth. "Here you go."
Elizabeth took the Box from Sonny. "What's this?" she asked.
"Open it and Find out." Sonny said smiling.
Elizabeth took the box and opened it. Inside she found an old silver charm bracelet. It was covered with charms, a poodle, a ballet dancer and even one that read "Class of '62". Elizabeth looked up at sonny.
"That charm bracelet was my mothers, well actually Ric's and mine. She got the charms from her mother and aunts while she was growing up. When I left home at 16 she gave it to me and I promised to give it to her first granddaughter. Since I heard that your having a girl the bracelet goes to her. "Sonny said with a sad smile.
"But Sonny, What if this baby is really Jason's?" Elizabeth asked her voice no more than a whisper. She hated to even say it out loud.
Oh Honey sonny said regardless of the biology of your baby. Its gonna Be Ric's daughter, Just like Michael will always be my son. That makes this little Girl the first granddaughter. My mother would have loved her. It wouldn't have mattered if she is a blue eyes blonde or had My mother brown eyes and dark curls. Just like Michael red hair doesn't change the fact he's my son. Ric loves you and this baby. She will be my niece regardless." Sonny said.
Elizabeth Hugged Sonny her eyes full of tears and said "Thank you!"
Jason slammed the Laptop shut. He took the beer bottle and sailed it into the wall. He yelled at no one "How dare Sonny betray me That baby will be My daughter No that Psycho Ric's."
Ric grabbed the dark haired girl by the Arms and pulled her backwards. "What the Hell?" He said.
The Girl laughed and said. "Well baby! I was just following what your Button said to do. I'm Amanda by the way.
Ric glared at the pretty young woman. "I'm married." Ric said
"I'm not baby!" Amanda said with a giggle. "That works in your favor. It's a holiday. Why don't you bring your sexy self back to my place? We can make Love all night long!"
Ric was looking at the young woman like she was crazy. "The only person I want to make love to is my wife." He said.
"Then why are you here keeping that bar stool warm and not in bed with your wife."Amanda asked.
"She was in an accident. So we can not have sex or she will loose our baby." Ric said as he drank the last of his bourbon in on gulp.
Luke walked over to bar and laughed. "Tinkerbell darling you need to find someone else to flirt with darling Mr. DA here is very much married."
"Hey Luke! Did you know that Mr. DA here is a democrat?" Amanda asked laughing the whole time.
Ric looked at her like she was crazy. "A democrat? I'm not a democrat."
Amanda winked and Luke and then said. "Sure you are. Just like old Bill. You seem to think that sex is simply fucking. If you took the time to think things through you would remember that there's a whole lot you could be doing with your wife."
Luke grinned and started Laughing. "Great point their Tink! Free drinks for you and your ladies friends for the rest of the night on me." He said.
Ric turned around on the stool and looked at Luke was laughing at the expression on Ric's face he looked like a kid on Christmas morning. "Do me a favor call me a cab. I'm gonna go home and Make love to my wife."
Luke looked at him as he tried to stand. He was laughing as he said. "Ric my boy your gonna go home and Puke and pass out. But I'll call you a cab."
Sonny and Elizabeth were startled by the sound of someone pounding on the door. Before Elizabeth could get to it she could her Ric calling out " Elizabeth Baby I'm sorry, Let me in please. I'm sorry"
Elizabeth opened the door and Found Ric leaning against the doorframe. He had a silly grin on his face and a button on his shirt that said "Kiss me, I'm Irish."
He grabbed Elizabeth hand and pulled her into the room with him. Seeing Sonny standing in his living room he said, "Hi Sonny, You need to leave now. I'm gonna make love to my wife." That said he pulled Elizabeth into a serious kiss.
Elizabeth was very embarrassed and her face turned bright red but she also started to giggle. "Ric you are being Rude!" She said as she swatted him on the arm. "Besides you know we can't make love."
Ric pulled her close to him and kissed Her neck. "No we can't have intercourse, but as Tinkerbell reminded me tonight we can definitely make love. Now I would carry you to bed but I'm more than a little drunk and your more than a little pregnant so will you please come to the bedroom with me? I want you naked and in my bed Now!" Ric said in a very sexy voice.
Looking over at the younger couple Sonny grabbed His coat and as he walked out the door He yelled over his shoulder. "I'll let myself out! Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
