No Longer Alone

Disclaimer: I own nothing to do with Harry Potter. It belongs to the wonderful J.K Rowling. The plot however is mine and I do not like stealing. I can however allow things to be borrowed with permission.

Dedicated to: Jayme otherwise known as Ginnypotter4. She is the best!

It was early August and Harry had spent the two weeks since his birthday at the Weasleys. Not that that did much good to improve his mood since leaving the Dursley's. He spent the whole time alone and brooding. He had to be dragged down to meals, prodded out of bed every morning. He didn't even want to play Quidditch. This was unthinkable as far as some of the Weasley's, especially Ron, were concerned. Harry was in a bit of a funk.

One night after a particularly bad nightmare, Harry walked down the creaky stairs at the Burrow and sat in front of the smoldering remains of a fire. It had just gone past three. He hadn't sat alone for more than half an hour staring blankly into the fireplace when he heard someone say, "Harry? Is that you?"

Harry turned aroundm rather surprised at the intrusion, and croakily said, "Ginny?"

"Yea. What're you doing up?" Ginny said, walking around the couch to take a seat next to Harry. Turning to face him, she waited for him to answer.

"Nightmare. You?" replied Harry. "They seem to be happening more."

"The same. I can't seem to shake them."

"Oh. What about?" asked Harry, both curious and interested to see if her issues could distract him from his own.

"Tom. Tom Riddle," said Ginny quietly, looking down at her hands, before meeting the green eyes of Harry. "What was yours about, Harry? If you don't mind sharing, that is."

"I really would rather not say."

"Oh come on, I won't tell. It could be between just us."

"Sirius and the night at the Department of Mysteries," whispered Harry.

"OhHarry, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

"It's not your fault, Ginny."

"Do you want to talk so maybe you wont feel alone?"

"I guess so."

"The dream starts with us entering the Department of Mysteries. Then the next thing I see, is Bellatrix hitting him with that curse in the chest. It then goes in slow motion. I see Sirius slowly falling into the veil. There's shock written all over his face."

Harry broke down crying and Ginny sat there holding him and whispering soothing nonsense to him.

Running her hands through his messy black hair she said, "You aren't alone Harry. I will be here for you. Always and forever."

A/N: This is very stupid I know. It took me under 10 minutes to write. I was listening to Crash and Burn by Savage Garden.

Beta Note: Oh Kristen, this is so good! I hope you do more chapters. But that is up to you. I'm glad you stole my plot bunnies; they were beginning to bug me big time. Also, please review! We trying to kill some major writes block with this!
