No Longer Alone: Chapter 2

Dedicated to: Jayme otherwise known as Ginnypotter4

In Ginny's comforting embrace Harry fell fast asleep, sleeping deeper than he had in awhile. Since Ginny couldn't move without waking Harry, she leaned back and pulled the blanket on the back of the couch over them. Settling in, Ginny closed her eyes and was soon fast asleep as well.

The Next Morning:

It was very early when Harry awoke once more. He looked around confused. He was thinking 'This isn't Ron's room' and 'Why am I so comfortable?'. Suddenly, Ginny moved and Harry bolted up straight, not at all used to sleeping in close proximity with another person.

"Ginny? Why are you here?"

"Oh, Harry? We both had nightmares. You told me about yours and started crying. Then, you sort of fell asleep on me."

At this Harry was embarrassed. He hadn't intended to use her as a pillow. Or a hankerchief, for that matter.

"Sorry Ginny. I don't imagine you were very comfortable," Harry said, but couldn't meet her eyes.

" Actually, I was very comfortable, Harry."

"Oh." At this Harry looked up at Ginny, perplexed by this revelation. He was studying her, and noticed that she looked a lot different that what he remembered. She looked more grown up. Realizing he was staring, Harry blushed and averted his gaze once more. An uncomfortable silence passed till Ginny spoke up.

"Why don't we go get some breakfast? I don't know 'bout you but I'm very hungry."

"That sounds good to me. What'll we have?"

"How about my specialty? Blueberry Pancakes. The twins can't get enough of 'em. Sound good?"

"That sounds very good. Want some help?"

"Sure. Hand me the box of batter. It's on the top shelf, to the right. A yellow box."

Ginny poured the batter in the bowl and added water. A dozen blueberry pancakes formed.

"Wow. Where do you get that stuff?" Harry looked in the bowl, gaping. Even after all this time, simple things like this about the Wizarding world shocked him.

"At the Wizarding World Grocery, of course."

"Oh. Where's that? "

"Diagon Alley. Didn't you know that? "

"No. "

The two lapsed into another silence. While they were in the process of getting out plates and cutlery, Mrs. Weasley came into the kitchen and stopped shocked, not expecting to see any of her charges up already.

"Ginny, are you up already? I wasn't expecting you up for another hour or so. "

"Oh, well, I had a nightmare and came down here. I fell back asleep on the couch. I was very comfortable but the sun woke me up. "

"Ok. Very well morning dear, you too, Harry."

" I made some pancakes. Want some mum? "

" No, thanks Ginny. I have a thousand things to do today. Bill and Charlie are coming for a visit and I haven't even started cleaning, let alone baking. I want to make their favorites. "

" I almost forgot that they were coming home," Ginny said as her mother hurried out of the back door. She was most likely going to get some eggs from the Weasley family chickens.

An hour later the Kitchen was filled with Weasley brothers, food and chatter.
