CHAPTER VI
SECRET ORGINS: PART II
"Damn, this is going to be a hard kill", thought Boba Fett. This bounty was an unusually hard one, for he had to bring his target, the Rodian crime lord J'Errot Chido, in alive without any bruises or bumps. Boba preferred dead or alive hunts, but this bounty packed wholloping 50,000 credits, something that was very hard for Boba to pass. So far, nothing had gone wrong. Boba was able to enter the Blood Sport of Rattak, where Chido was located, unnoticed. However, climbing to the top to the arena on the half-sphere shaped seats was a lot harder. But he was able to accomplish that part of the mission. Once he got to the top, he used his helmet rangefinder to lock onto Chido's seat, which contained Chido, five bodyguards, and two Twi'Lek slaves were massaging the crime lord. He then locked onto the target with this rocked dart launcher and fired.
The attack was a success, which sent the seat flying across the arena. Boba then used his jet pack to lower himself down to Chido's level, for he fell on the ground. The five guards then all lifted up their blasters and fired. Boba dodged all the fire with his jet pack, and fired at all the bodyguards in turn. But those were the least of his worries, for Chido was walking towards the gladiators, who were mistaking Chido for another gladiator.
"Blast it, you fool", Boba cursed to himself. He then unsheated his wrist blade (which was another feature of his gauntlet) and zoomed closer to the gladiators. The gladiators, all armed with blades, and then ran closer and closer to Boba. They all swung their blades at Boba, who expertly deflected all the blows. He then sliced through all of the gladiators, which eliminated all the opposition. But Boba panicked once he saw a Rancor charge at Chido, roaring with hunger. Boba then launched his jet pack missile at the Rancor's eye, which sent him into a bloody rampage. Boba then grabbed Chido and flew to a far away corner, where he tied Chido up.
"What have I ever done to you to deserve this?" asked Chido.
"You made me waste some equipment", said Boba. "That's enough for a painful execution". Then, out of the blue, a black furred Bothan, bloodied from the gladiator fight, and walked up to Boba with a look of much awe.
"Dad...", exclaimed the Bothan. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment!"
"What are you talking about?" said Boba. "I'm not your father".
"You must be", said the Bothan. "My name's Voren Fett... it can't be any other way!"
"I'm the only remainder of my family", said Boba. "You're too old to be my dad's son, and I don't remember having anything going on with anyone".
"So?" said Voren. "You cannot deny that you're my father".
"LISTEN KID!" yelled Boba. "I AM NOT YOUR FATHER! Now go off into that gladiator pit where you belong". Voren couldn't believe the news. He was rejected by his own father; or was it his father?
"NO!" yelled Voren. "NOOOOOOOOOO! YOU ARE MY FATHER! AND I WILL PROVE IT!"
"I'll give you proof", said Boba. He then grabbed Voren by the neck and threw him across the room. Voren then landed on the floor, shaken up by the encounter. Voren knew Boba was his father, and he would prove it. Someday...
