Gaz had no idea what to do... yelling was still going on in Dib's room. He was too big to hide now... what was she to do. She heard Membrane coming down the stairs so she just lays a blanket over him. He never bothered looking at her or anything he just continued down to the lab.

::Dib will know what to do:: she thought quickly and carefully pulling Zim up the stairs. She could hear Dib break a couple things, slightly sobbing and such so she took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Go away Gaz," she could hear him speak slightly threw the door.

"I have something I think you need to see," she replied.

"not now Gaz"

"But it's important."

"I said not now."

"But you don't understand how important it is!"

"what is it," his voice becoming irritated.

"Just come see damn it."

he open the door angrily and glared at her, then his attention went to a pasty light green figure, "Zim."

He picked him up and gently putt him on the bed.

"What is he doing here," Dib asked searching around for a pulse.

"I found him on the front step in the rain."

"in the rain!?" ::why would he travel in the rain, water can kill him::

"Gaz get me a thermometer," Dib demanded taking his newly cleaned bath towel and dabbing away the water.

His skin rippled as Dib touched it as if he was becoming translucent and his pulse was very faint. ::why Zim? Why would you do that?::

Gaz came up with a thermometer. Dib took it and laid it in his mouth... the mercury raised fast hitting...

"135," Dib yelled.

"What what's wrong is that bad," Gaz asked.

"it's terrible," Dib yelled freaking out trying to find a paranormal health book, "his race is Irken... they're normal temperature is 54."

"Oh my god, but that's impossible... he should be dead," Gaz exclaimed.

"it's not going to happen, I'm not going to let it," Dib inputted.

He scanned through the book hesitantly then he reached for a cold compress. He hoped it would work. No wait water he cant use water... Oh man what could he do? Quickly he searched through the book there was nothing absolutely nothing. He's been so consumed about tactics of ruining Zim that he had nothing on ways to help him.

Dib gave up, he took Zim's hand and cried. There was nothing left to do but just hope that Zim would make it through the night. His sobs became louder, un controlling he cried and cried. Gaz slowly backed away and decided to give them both space.

Zim's eyes gently opened, at first everything was blurred but then it became clear. He made it... somehow he made it. He let out a crippling sigh, his whole body in so much pain. He heard someone crying and reached his hand down gradually towards their head running his fingers slightly through their hair. He knew who it was, it was Dib.

Dib crawled closer towards Zim... cradling his hand and pressing it against his face.

"why did you do that Zim," Dib asked worried, "your so sick your lucky your alive. I had no way to save you, I CRIED over you Zim I CRIED. Why did you walk through the rain?"

Zim took in a deep pain-soaked breath and then said lightly, "because you were in trouble. I saw it. I was," a small tear ran down his face as he fought to catch his breath, "I saw you like you were a part of me... so I came. Because you called to me."

Dib's thought all became clear now. It no longer mattered that he was an alien or a male. Dib loved him and he would fight the world for his right to love him. They would make it together.
