Sam was a writer.  He was paid to put words in the mouth of the President of the United States.  He could create sentences and phrases that were like an eloquent piece of music.  All his words were filled with enthusiasm, passion, and beauty.  Sam made simple, ordinary words magical.  But Sam's words were always better spoken.  When Sam's words were spoken, words became useless.

Josh looked at the three words written in the familiar handwriting on the note before him and was convinced that Sam had never written a more beautiful phrase.  But Sam's words were always better spoken.
