Damn those major movie moguls! Damn them!!! Actually, it may come as a surprise to some, but I haven't seen Underworld. No, really. I mean I saw a scene.....where she shoots out the floor. But then my cousin kicked me out of his room. Besides, I am very picky when it comes to modern movies. In fact, my movie library consists of mostly black and white, older movies, cartoons, and oddballs. Such as A clockwork orange and house of 1000 corpses. But yea...haven't seen Underworld. Heard it's quite good though. *shrugs* Disclaimer: I do not own Witch Hunter Robin. A/N: I'll try to add more RobinxAmon romance. I've kinda neglected that haven't I?

Extinction: Taking on the World

Andolan sat crossed legged and scanned over the paper that the mysterious Amon had delivered to her. It was a diary entry. That was the first thing she noticed. The next was the handwriting. She had seen the penmanship before, but where? She pushed the diary entry away from her, afraid to read it. What if it was a letter from her father, explaining that the killing was set up? Or even worse, it was she that was supposed to die instead of the clan? She shook her head. No, she wouldn't read that paper just yet. She silently stood, ready to face the demon who had taken her under his dark wing. She needed to know what Crevin was planning.
Amon shoved the papers across the desk beside Micheal. The teenager glanced up from his computer screen and lifted his headphones off his head.

"Amon, are you alright?"
"I had him, Micheal. He was right there in front of me, and then he disappeared."
"Vampires are known for their disappearing acts, Amon."
"He was our only hope in finding Robin's whereabouts."
"Amon, I know all this is stressing you out, but I honestly think that this Crevin doesn't intend to harm Robin."
"How can you be so sure?" Amon stared down at the adolescent hacker, hoping that his words were true.

Robin screamed out in agony. It had been hours since Crevin returned and took it upon himself to have some fun with the chained up Robin. He used Orbo drenched daggers to cut her delicate skin, and tease her for several minutes, mocking her admiration for the hunter, Amon.
"I met the bastard today." He twirled the dagger about his boney fingers. "He was long dead before I ever got to him." Robin gasped, her hope being poured down the drain. If Amon couldn't come find her, who would?
"Why are you doing this?"
"I like to have a little fun with every 'hope' I come upon. It's been awhile for me, you know. I haven't had a 'hope' for over a century." Robin's eyes widened in horror. Just what exactly happened that night?

Amon stood over the coffee pot and poured himself another cup. Still no word of the Craft-user that he had grown accustomed to. It was odd, but he felt a sense of trust with the girl. Something he thought he had lost a long time ago. What was even odder, was the look in her eyes she had whenever he was around. It was that look that drew him in, the look that forced him to push her away. Another hand reached for the pot, dressed up in black nail polish and ancient jewelry. When had she appeared?
"I'll take you to him. If you answer a few questions for me..."
"I don't have time for questions."
"You do if you want to save Robin." His dark eyes darted to the feminine vampire.
"Fine." Andolan turned to face him, receiving only his profile.
"That day in the alley, you said the reason you were watching over Robin was because she called you her angel. Explain."
"She had explained to me earlier that everyone has an angel. She didn't directly come out and say it but, I know she was referring to me as her angel."
"She pities you, so you feel like you owe her for her companionship by protecting her."
"Maybe. But Robin has never shown me pity. It's a different look. Like..."
"Admiration...?"
"..."
"Trust...?"
"..." Andolan sighed. This conversation was pointless.
"Love?" Amon jerked his head up. Was that it? Andolan smiled. "I knew it."
"You know very little then."
"Hmph. I saw the same look over a century ago. It was the hope. She was in love with a man who looked just like you. I thought he had returned the feelings for her, but apparently not for he had shot her point blank. I should think the same of you unless you have reason to prove me wrong."
"In good time."
"Then let's go."
"To where?"
"To Robin."

Sakaki returned from the bathroom to find an empty room. He mentally cursed at himself for leaving her alone and kicked at the couch, finally taking notice of the piece of paper that fluttered about his foot. He kneeled over and picked it up, his interest rising by the second.

April 4, 1904
My plan has been going smoother than anticipated. There was no need to send Evan out to find the hope. His sister found it for me. That Andolan, so sweet and innocent, yet her blood is tainted with pity for the hope. I didn't even have to dirty my hands. It seems that the hope was in love with a young man, a hunter if i'm correct. He wasn't easy to get rid of. Once he found out my plans, he fought hard to go help out the hope. But I finally managed to kill the poor sap and overtook his form. Thus giving me the upperhand. Andolan's clan is very fond of humans and Witches. I don't see how. They're weak. Anyhow, I managed to sneak into the mansion unnoticed, killing the old bastard and then Evan. I then found myself face to face with Andolan and the hope. I wanted to kill her. I did. Do you know how bloody long I have lusted for the tramp? Too damn long. If I couldn't have her than no one would. I aimed and shot with Orbo filled bullets, knowing Andolan's fragile form couldn't handle the supreme power. But the damn hope got in the way, her friendship with the clan's leader and respect for the woman she had heard stories about overtaking her senses. I had my fun with her though. I also found out why the old man needed her blood - new power. And the girl was willing. Stupid wench. But it was settled. I am now the leader of the clans and not one human can take that away from me. -Crevin von Blaine
"Andolan!!"

Robin could hear it; the much anticipated footsteps of someone rushing to her aid. Blonde locks fell over her eyes and kept her from seeing her hero. She slowly pulled her head up, though in pure pain. And there he was, in all his magnificent form. His coat swept before him, his long dark strands of hair falling in his face from the running, from the determination. She heard the gun shots and felt the cold fingers of Andolan wrap around her wrist and unlock the chains that had bound her. She draped Robin's arm over her shoulder and began to hobble towards the exit.
Crevin noted this and shoved himself at Andolan, knocking over the two women. He draped his arms around her throat and dragged her across the floor, a loaded gun held to her head. Amon dropped his weapon, he would not put his partner in danger. Andolan shook herself from her dazed state, emerald eyes searching for Robin's rescue. She finally spotted it : an Orbo dagger that Crevin had so recklessly left out. She grasped the dagger and flung herself behind the male vampire, thrusting the blade through the man's heart. He dropped to his knees and fell into a pile of ashes.
Amon fell to Robin's side, watching out for her wounds. Andolan sat across from them, panting from the fight. She lowered her head and prayed for the first time in a century for the one man she had trusted but was betrayed by. A click from a gun brought her out of her silent prayer. Amon stood before her, clutching Robin to his chest and aiming at Andolan's heart. Her kelly eyes were low, aware of her intended fate.
"Amon..." Robin's soft whisper was enough to bring his attention off of Andolan. "Don't. Her destiny doesn't lay in your hands. She saved my life today. And helped you. Perhaps, she's your angel..." Her blue eyes dropped back down to a hazy state. Before Amon could make a decision, Andolan managed to knock out the loaded weapon, holding it out in front of her for protection. Tears were flooding her eyes, taking a life all on their own.
"It's hard for one to destroy a vampire. Most things can't kill me - again. But the pain is real. And I don't want to hurt anymore. " Amon stepped forward, uncertain of what she was implying. "My father...he once told me that we were without souls and the only way to get a second chance from Heaven was to go willingly. Most vampires are too proud....but....but I want to live...." She smiled as tears trailed down her pale cheeks. She reversed the aim at Amon and leaned the gun against her head. "Tell her thank you when she wakes up..."
"Andolan!!" Sakaki's voice raced through the corridor. A single shot was heard throughout the mansion, making Sakaki pause and step back towards the path he came in on. He didn't want to see what or who had been shot.
Amon cradled Robin against him and left the mansion, wondering what would happen now...

A/N: Short but sweet in my opinion....one more chapter left. and it will definetly be romance filled!!!
