I Can't Tell Her!

By Pinky-Cat

Sun was setting and the sky was glowing red, glowing to Konoha, glowing to a certain Ramen Bar.

"Naruto, if you won't tell me why I had to come here, don't waste my time and let me go home"

Naruto's gaze moved from the sunset to Sakura. He had called her, telling her he had to talk to her immediately but he just couldn't get the words out of his mouth.

"You see..." he said, trying to make a start.

A strange growling was heard from Sakura like she was about to change to inner Sakura.

"You see, what I wanted to tell you, is..." he turned his head away, he just couldn't say it.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesss??" Sakura said leaning a bit forward

"It's like an ingrowing hair for me, it's growing deeper and deeper and you know that you will have to-"

"You didn't have to say that, anyway, get to the point" Sakura said being a little tired already

"It's like lightening a match. You'd never think that this tiny stick could produce something as useful and yet as dangerous as fire" He said moving his hand to prove his point.

"Naruto, if you don't tell me right now I'm gonna-"

"It's me and Sasuke" Naruto blurted out looking down now

"We're together" he tried to get a glimpse of her reaction.

He and Sasuke were together and decided that Sakura as their team-mate had the right to know. The thing was that no one wanted to tell her. So they plaid janken-pon and as expected- Naruto lost.

But well, he had no way back.

Naruto looked up to see a complete baffled expression. He panicked, what to do now? She is disgusted.

Suddenly Naruto did something automatically, something he should better have kept to himself.

"Ha-ha!! You fell for it!!" Naruto said pointing to Sakura

Just after that, he saw Sakura relaxing again.

Naruto just stared into the air mentally kicking, scratching and punching himself.

I was so close!! Why can't I just tell her?!

The sun was gone already, just the red shimmering of it would still remain a little while.
