Summary: This is a story about Rikku's childhood and how she became the spunky Al Bhed we all know and love. I think I'll let it take place before she is born then go on from there. I have kind of an original plot.
This has nothing to do with the story line in Final Fantasy X even though some names will obviously sound familiar. Sorry for my lack of original characters... I guess you'll just have to live with it. So obviously there will be links to characters I've made up wither they are real to the game or not.

Chapter 01: The Shame of a Mother
Cid glared at Braska, looking at him as though he was no greater than a maggot in a rotting carcass. "How could you?! My sister! And you have the nerve to show your face here in Home?!" He rubbed his sweating bald head and glanced back to his crying sister.
"Like it matters to you? When did any of this become your affair?!" Braska defended as he stepped up to the young man.
"Do you have any idea how the others will shun her? You've ruined her life."
"I love her!" He yelled back violently.
The door swag open and the doctor walked into the small room. It fell silent.
"Come with me child," the doctor said to the hurt woman slouched in a chair behind the angered Cid.
Cid cast his eyes back to her as she stood up; brushing the tears of hurt and fears from his eyes.
She moaned in pain as she stood up slowly and grabbed anything to hold her balance. Her fingers turned white as she clutched to Cid.
Braska turned his head momentarily, saddened. His lover wouldn't even look upon him. His heart tore in to pieces. 'What have I done?' He thought as the realization flashed before him.
"Rin, I don't think she'll make it on her own." Cid spoke as he helped her into Rin's arms.
She cried out, "It hurts!"
Rin picked her up, "Cid, do not be alarmed. She is going into labor. I'll take her down into the infirmary. You can see her later." With that, Rin disappeared with Cid's sister in his arms.
She began to cry out in pain as her contractions began. The pain of childbirth never crossed her mind... Would she make it? It was the scariest experience of her life. Her green eyes dialated in fear for her life as her insides felt as though they were being ripped to shreds.
Then she thought of the child. She looked to Rin who was walking as fast as he could possibly go down the stairs.
As he lay her on the bed, her mouth went dry. Her horese voice was quiet and held pain no man could ever know, "Rin, if I die, be sure to have Braska take this child far from home. Cid will kill it if he sees it. He knows the miserable life it will have. Tell Braska I love him and ask him to forgive me. I never told him I was Al Bhed. I knew that if he knew-"
"Shhh," Rin interrupted her, "I'll tell him. But I'm sure he knows."
"Thank you..."
