"Stupid! Idiot!" Captain Jack Sparrow paced the tiny island's shore
briskly as a young girl and two boys sat, innocently staring up at him.
"Excuse me, Mr. Sparrow—"the youngest boy, seemingly 7 or 8 years of age piped, but the girl cut him off.
"Shut up, Bobby. Captain, wouldn't it be a simple task to-"The girl was the most pirate-y dressed of the three 'children', save the one next to her, who had his legs crossed like a school child, which betrayed his age.
"Chichiran, hold on. I think that's a ship." The man, about 25, squinted and put a hand to his forehead to shield his eyes from the sun.
"By Jove, it is!" Bobby jumped in excitement.
"Damn Englishman" Chichiran mutter, brushing a strand of sky blue hair out of her face and tucking it behind her ear. Will nudged her meaningfully with his elbow.
"That's not just a ship, mates. That's the Pearl." Jack stared at the speck almost lovingly, picking up his trihorn hat off the ground.
Bobby's brown eyes widened considerably. "The Black Pearl? No way. It don't exist!"
A hushed silence fell over the four, save Bobby's dirty blonde hair swaying in the wind as he shook his head.
"You haven't told him, Will?" Jack's words were cryptic to the young boy, but Chichiran looked at Will, who nodded in an ancient, wise way.
"Not yet."
"Wow, that's harsh." Chichiran grinned, then began taunting Bobby in a childish way. "I know something you don't know, nyah-nyah!"
"Chi-Chan!" Chichiran silenced at Will's words. "Sorry" she muttered. The thirteen year old girl was acting rather immature.
"Well, that's the Pearl alright" Will said. "But we cant take Bobby with us to Tortuga, obviously. We'll have to leave him with Elizabeth."
"But Mom said I could stay with you, Dad!"
Will winced. "You'regoing to stay in Port Royale, with your mom."
"Nooo!" Bobby began to wail incoherent shrieks.
"Do you want to stay with Norrington? With Oni-San?"
"Not Oni-San. I'll be good. But why does Chi-San get to stay?"
Will flashed a grin at Jack. "She's older. Besides, the Pearl's her home as much as it is Jack's." He draped his arm around Jack's shoulders. "Ain't that right, Cap?"
Jack smiled wryly, but said nothing. He started to call to the ship. Although it was rather loud to Will, Chichiran and Bobby, it was faint to the crew. Anne Maria was the first to hear it, but mistook it for the wind.
Will and Chichiran followed suit, yelling as loud as their vocal chords woul go without bursting. Bobby blinked, then started yelling too.
Mr. Cotton's parrot began to squak. "We've found the Captain, Captain o'er there, on the island, island"
The Black Pearl began to roar with commands. "Hard to y'er left, Anne!" Mr. Gibbs called.
From below deck, a woman jolted from sleep. "Ahh, Jack's comin' home...."
