Trinity
(working title)
Summary: When Prue died, it threw the magical world into turmoil. The Founders got together and set out a destiny for her future life that was even greater than the last one. The only problem is getting her future self to believe it.
A/N: This story could get confusing at times, but I'll try to make it as lucid as possible. Here's a few random facts to help you: Trinity is the name of Prue's reincarnation. That much should be pretty clear in the fic, but I just thought I'd give it to you anyway.
Here's the basic heirarchy of good:
The Founders- They're pretty much the be-all, end-all. Not much has been said about them on the show, so I'll try and flesh them out a bit.
The Elders- They govern good magic, and are second only to the Founders.
Whitelighters- Guardian angels for witches.
Disclaimer: I don't own Charmed or any characters relating to Charmed. I can't really claim all of Trinity, either, since she's just Prue's soul reincarnated. But Chloe, Evelyn, Alaina, and anyone else you don't recognize are mine.
****************
The white, pure, normally tranquil place had been abuzz for days. A Charmed One was dead. Not only that, but another sister had been discovered to take her place. What could this mean for the future of magic?
In a bright, enclosed space high above even the Elders, a small, select group of beings debated just that. These beings were the Founders, the rulers of all good magic. And they were deciding a very important issue - what to do with Prue Halliwell's spirit.
"Her last life was cut far too short," one Founder insisted. "She still has an important destiny to live up to."
"We decide what destiny is," argued another Founder. "I think she's done more than enough for our side. Isn't it time she got to rest in peace, to stay with her mother and grandmother? After all, while they were both very valuable witches, they did much less than she did and still acheived nirvana."
"But that was when we thought the Charmed Ones could ultimately win the fight against evil," yet another Founder countered. "Her death has proven that this simply isn't the case. The remaining three still aren't immortal, and we need someone to replace them should something happen to them, too. Who better to carry on that line than a former Charmed One herself?"
"I agree wholeheartedly," the first Founder declared. One by one, the other Founders muttered their agreement. All except the second.
"Oh, all right," the second Founder finally concurred. "But on one condition. If we're going to do this, we're going to do it right. We can't just send her back to Earth now, and wait for her to grow up and realize her destiny. We need to send her soul back in time, so that by now, her reincarnation will be ready to accept her fate and take over if the worst happens to the Charmed Ones."
"Then it's settled," finished a fourth Founder. "We send her back."
