War to End All War By Otakuprincess

It was a dark and stormy night. Usagi crouched low on her heels on the top of a tall building. The roof was open to the night sky and she was afraid of being seen. As gravel crunched behind her, she twisted around.

"Crescent Aura!" she yelled. A dense shadow reeled back in pain before vanishing into thousands of tiny ebony crystals. Usagi crawled across the rooftop, her knees dripping blood in her wake. As she stood up to view her surroundings, Usagi was suddenly grasped by two strong arms. She tried to free herself, but her effort yielded nothing.

"Now why would the Queen be out in such a dangerous part of town?" said a deep man's voice. He turned Usagi around. She was faced with a tall, handsome guy with long, black, braided hair and green eyes.

"Let me go." She said defiantly.

"I don't have to do anything you tell me," the man spat, "The outer provinces are not yet under your control. We answer to no one."

The man released his grip and Usagi jumped backwards.

"Snake, your people will join us. What is there to lose?"

"Only our freedom." Snake said, pulling out a knife to sharpen his nails.

"Starlight Honeymoon Kiss!" Usagi bellowed, bringing her staff into position. Nothing happened.

"Even you cannot last forever. Now, I would have let you go. But I might as well bring you down to the club for a while. You could argue your point, thought it would not do you any good."

"I wouldn't step a foot in your whore-house!"

"Very well,. I'll have to drag you there myself. What is there to lose?" he mumbled.

'Only my virginity...' Usagi thought.

As Snake reached out for Usagi, another man's voice rang out clear in the night.

"Tuxedo the Smoking Bomber!"

Snake was thrown backwards into a mass of piping, and Mamoru appeared from the darkness. Usagi ran to him, hugging him tightly.

"Thank you Mamo-chan." She said softly. He sighed, and draped an arm around her shoulder.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming down? I could have woken up the girls to come with you."

"They were fast asleep. And anyway, I thought I could handle it."

"Uh huh." Mamoru said, smiling wryly. "it's ok. But we really should get out of here before someone notices Snake's absence."

Back at the palace, Usagi was glad to be back among the familiar crystal towers and paved boulevards of Crystal Tokyo. She changed into a light silver gown before climbing into bed. Mamoru followed suit.

"Did you find anything?" Mamoru asked.

"Only what we already knew," replied Usagi. "The old provinces refuse to become a part of the new kingdom. I'm so afraid I'll turn out like before..."

"The timeline changed, Buns. It has been erased. Phantom will never exist in this timeline."

"But what if something happens?" Usagi suddenly envisioned Chaos in all his power, and she drew closer to Mamoru. "My powers as a senshi are failing. Soon I will be just an old Queen, watching her people from within a crystal fortress."

"I do not think that will be your fate." Mamoru said, running his fingers though Usagi's hair. "Now go to sleep."

Usagi turned out the light and lay her head on Mamoru's chest.

"There will be war..a war to end all wars...I have seen it."
