The sound of waves breaking against the rocks on either side of the sea, trapping it, churning up towards the sand, watching her as she travels back with the waves bracing me for a fall? I see her drop down, I feel her falling as if it were myself falling, taking me back to that night, will it ever end?

The salty smell of the sea lingers in the air long, after the storm has gone. Night is over top. The wet, spongy sand wedges itself between her toes; she dares not notice that it is there, if she dares to glance down she shall ignore it. The sandy shores are covered in darkness; the waves are still rough, throwing themselves against the rocks trapping them.

I glance up from my viewpoint at the window and see a shadowy figure walking down from the other end of the shore. Who would be out at the time of night especially after a storm? The rain hits again, more quietly though and less harsh. The wind still whips at the water, breaking its surface. The shadowy form makes its' way closer.

It is unfocused at first; I can make out a tall, solidly built figure with long hair. Their loose baggy clothes being whipped around them in the wind. As the figure gets closer I notice that it is a man. He seems familiar.

The long blonde hair brought back memories of photos mum had shown me of her first son – Trunks. This man must have been about twenty years of age, I quickly did the math's in my head, that would mean it would be possible this man is my older brother. After all, mum told me he lived here with his adoptive parents. I watch longer from my viewpoint. Too long.

He climbs the rocks opposite where I am sitting. The rocks in which the waves are being thrown against in an attempt to escape. He does not notice me. He stands up straight and tall and tacks off his shirt. His muscular, tanned body gleams in the distance. He stands still for a while and then dives. I ask myself, why would anyone wish to dive in weather conditions like this? There are many unknowns lurking at the bottom of the oceans' floor.

The storm is over the next day but there were worst things to come of yet. The news broadcasted the storm and how during the dead of the night and unknown man dived into the depths of the dark, mysterious waters. His body had been found later that morning by a rescue squad who had been dispatched to this area. I thought it over. I pounded in my mind. The man that looked so much like a man in the photos. Was it possible? Had he been my brother?

The waves transport her back to present. She is in a state of shock. How could it be? Was it possible? The sound of the waves hit her again. She runs. Runs away from the salty sea smell. Runs from the sound of the breaking waves. Runs home and to safety.
