The ADA Takes A Husband

Historian's Note: Takes place the morning after "Did I Do The Right Thing?"

Part I: The Morning After

Alex Cabot awoke to the feeling of warm kisses being placed on her back and warm sunlight coming in through the skylight above the bed caressing her naked legs (And when I say naked, I mean naked…her legs were immaculate. Not a hair on them). A smile slowly spread across her face.

"Mmmm…" she moaned as she felt more kisses being showered across her back. "That feels nice."

"Good morning, sleepyhead." She could hear George's voice. "Sleep well?"

She smiled when she saw the ring on her finger and remembered the previous night. "You bet."

"Tell me, what did you dream about?" He asked, tracing little lines on the soft skin of her back.

She rolled over and smiled. "Our wedding day."

He raised a dark eyebrow. "Really? What was it like?"

"It was beautiful." She replied. "We got married in Central park on a beautiful sunny day… it was like something out of a fairy tale." She smiled and giggled. "Well, would you listen to me? I sound like some rosy eyed school girl describing her perfect wedding day."

Then, she noticed the smirk slowly making its way onto George's face. "Don't even think about it." She said. "I refuse to listen to your psychobabble at this hour of the day."

"And here I thought that it was a turn on." He joked.

"You're pushing your luck, doctor." She warned. "Be thankful that I like you so much to put up with it."

He chuckled. "When do you want to get married? Soon, I hope."

"Well we have a lot of legal red tape to go through, including an application for a license, planning, the whole nine…. it could be a while."

"How long of a while?" he asked.

Alex thought for a moment, and then said, with a wicked smile slowly spreading across her face, "You leave that to me. I have a few favors to call in."

He smiled and kissed her. "I guess marrying an attorney is actually a good thing."
