This fic is written by me, siren and my friend Sam. I will mostly be covering the first part of this story while Sam helps.
Note: I do not own crystal chronicles only a copy of it. The idea of this story is actually my friend Sam's specuallasions that made the idea but it never really got down on paper. So now, I'm writing it.
Sam: Uh…the whole beginning was your idea.
Siren: So... your point is?
Sam: never mind

Prologue
Long ago in a small Selkie village, a fisherman and his family were waiting eagerly for the news of the new child, second-born in their family. Cries were heard from the birthing room and the midwife came out. "It's a girl," she simply said.
Rema no walked in to see his wife. She looked happy, but drained from the experience of childbirth. "You okay?" he stated with concern.
"I'll be fine," she said while cradling the newborn child. As he looked down at the baby, Rema no noticed the red-brown hair, a rare trait among Selkies, especially females. Then their firstborn daughter of 4 years, Tera fla, ran in. "Can I see her?" she asked politely. Rema no picked up his daughter so she could see the baby.
"What's her name?" she asked inquisitively. Her mother smiled, she looked out the window and saw a shooting star. "I'll name her Ethi re, falling star, like I named you Tera fla, Dark moon, because there was no moon out the night you were born."
"Wow, Can I go try to catch the falling star?" she said with bright-eyed curiosity. Her father put her down and gave her a bag and a pole. "You attach this bag to the pole so you can scoop it up of it falls in the river," he whispered and patted her on the back as she ran out.
"You humor her way too much." Mila fe said while laughing. For a while they looked up at the sky, when suddenly Tera fla rushed in "I found something," she said excited, "drifting on the river."
Rema no followed his daughter out to the riverbank where he saw a basket floating on the current. Using the pole, he dragged back to there side of the river and opened it. It was a young boy. He brought him in to show his wife, Mila fe. "He was in a basket just floating on the river…"
"Not only that I caught the shooting star! See?" Tera held up a stone that fell apart in her hand to reveal two crystals. "They're beautiful," her mother said, "He's about as old as Ethi re," she said as she pointed at the boy.
This indeed was true the boy could be no older than one day, yet he was not a Selkie; he could tell that from the color of his hair. Very few Selkies have blond hair at birth. They usually develop silver hair, which changes to blond as they grow.
"Where did he come from?" Mila fe asked. "The river" Rema replied, "should we take him in?"
"Yes, we'll adopt him, you always wanted a boy," she giggled at this remark, "his name will be… Sea Born"

Siren: Please review, constructive criticism, flaming criticism, or suggestions welcome. But no just saying "that sucked" or "it's good" it is very annoying because if I know what you think sucked or what you liked, I might be able to change it, or keep it in mind when I write the next chapter, *rants*
Sam: she got up too early this morning, any way R&R
