Chapter 0: Intro and Stuff
King of Fighters, Southtown, all characters, and all that other crap are the intellectual property of SNK-Playmore. I don't own it, although I'd punch a cop in the face for the opportunity to own them. Remember to support SNKP by buying all of their products that you can possibly afford. So, how's about an introduction, eh?
Basically, I'm taking some of the King of Fighters characters and putting them in a non-tournament setting. I'm trying to give them what you and I would call a "real life", but since it's pure fiction, some of it's going to be a bit different from reality. Some of the relationships between characters are different that what you might expect, and some of the characters' personalities have been tweaked. But that's the joy of writing a fanfiction: it's your story, and you can do what you like. I've provided a mini-bio for each of the main characters in this fanfic. Other characters will appear at random.
This fanfic includes profanity, some violence, drinking, and other such like. If that's not for you, then don't read. Also, this fanfic is intended to be a comedy, and there won't be any yaoi.

SETTING: Southtown (where else? I'm unoriginal.)
MAIN CHARACTERS:
ASH CRIMSON: Works at a salon/day spa as a hairstylist, manicurist, and masseuse. Extremely neat and organized, and always dresses nicely. He can never find a girlfriend because most everyone thinks he's gay (even though he's not). Has the strange ability to never get drunk, no matter how much alcohol he consumes.
DUO LON: He fancies himself an artist, but actually has no talent. He works as a substitute teacher at the high school to pay the bills, and is also a part-time delivery man. Very quiet, and has a lot of morbid thoughts. Doesn't know how to drive, and refuses to learn; but then again, he can teleport, so he doesn't need to.
SHEN WOO: He can never hold a steady job because he's always losing his temper and beating someone up, and gets fired as a result. Nevertheless, he can always find work. Every time he tries to meet women, either Ash or Duo mess things up for him. He owns the house that Ash and Duo share with him.
LEONA HEIDERN: She works in the auto repair shop that her father owns along with Ralf Jones and Clark Steel. One of Shen's best friends. Rather antisocial, and has no problem with telling off idiots, which usually happens on a regular basis because someone's always trying to hit on her. Duo Lon has a serious infatuation with her, but she doesn't like him.
KING: Formed a partnership with Richard Myer in order to open Southtown's combination restaurant/bar/nightclub, known as "The Mirage". Pretty much has a monopoly on Southtown's nightlife, and all the hottest bands perform at her club.
KIM KAPHWAN: Southtown's one-man criminal justice system. He serves as the police force, DA, and judge. Criminals are never sentenced to jail; instead, they are sent to his world-famous "Reform School" for six months, which is managed by his sons, Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon, and his longtime friend Jhun Hoon. Consequently, almost nobody dares to commit crimes in Southtown. Somehow manages to magically appear at a crime scene, no matter how far away it is from his current location.
TERRY BOGARD: CEO, CFO, and 53% shareholder of Howard Enterprises, Inc. Accomplished this takeover of Geese Howard's empire by Buster Wolf-ing Geese off the roof of his tower several times. Terry proceeded to make Howard Enterprises a legit corporation, much to Geese's dismay. Owns half of Southtown, and is the main reason why Shen Woo is able to find work, despite being fired repeatedly. His brother Andy manages the overseas branch of Howard Enterprises, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
GATO FUTABA: One of Duo Lon's friends. Always drops by the house unexpectedly. Nobody ever sees him working, but he always manages to have plenty of money on hand. His sister Hotaru lives with him and attends the school where Duo works. He doesn't like his sister very much, but she's always hanging around him. He has a strange habit of speaking in haikus at random times.
BENIMARU NIKAIDO: Owns the salon/day spa where Ash works. One of his best friends since childhood. They often go out to try and pick up women; as a result, some people think they are a couple. Is very scatterbrained, and is always forgetting things as a result.
