Chapter One: The Attack

The swirling,black mists were growing deeper and blacker.In the confounds of a strange,blackened building.A girl stood staring into the darkness -- Violet eyes narrowed as her dark-blue hood of her cape had been pushed back.Her straight,dark-blue hair hung down loosely as her violet eyes scanned the blackness for any sign of the attacker -- Moving silently but swiftly through the dark maze,Her senses were acute to the sudden etch of danger that had penetrated her soul.Her senses were turning to anger and possible hate as the darkness still consumed the building but the eeriee silence was growing deeper.
The sound of the shadows rustling caused her to stop walking all together,She turned around to meet the green eyes of someone she had known for so long.Her eyes narrowed slightly knowing whom this being was.
"Numbuh -46." was all she said in a dark tone as the figure stepped from the shadows.The figure was in-deed,Numbuh -46 -- The leader of the Rebel KND.He smirked at the girl standing before him and stepped forward in such a menacing way.The girl didn't seem to be effected by the Rebel leader's prescence as he stood before.
"I'm surprised you remember me,Numbuh 13." Numbuh -46 said with a smirk.Numbuh 13 growled and turned away briskly before walking off.Numbuh -46 rose an eyebrow as he followed -- He wasn't going to let this go by,Not like last time.He had nearly lost her 12 years ago and he wasn't going to lose her again.
Meanwhile on Earth....
"What kind of problem?" Numbuh 1 asked,Still paleing a few shades as Numbuh 2 pointed a shaky finger towards the door with blood dripping from under it. "I don't know,but theres something there!" Numbuh 2 whimpered as Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 5 stared directly at the door -- Something made them have a feeling there was another presence here in the tree-house.

"Now this can't be true." Numbuh 4 said angerly as he stomped up to the door,Numbuh 3 whimpered and covered her eyes,Afraid of what was going to happen.just as Numbuh 4's hand landed on the door-knob and turned it,The door flew open knocking the australian operative against the wall.Two shadowed creatures with reptilian-like feet stood there staring straight at Numbuh 4.Their gleaming,red eyes showing signs of hunger. the others backed away as Numbuh 4 looked up hazily only to meet the red eyes of the creatures.He let out a squeak of fear before trying to back away across the floor -- Fear filling his bluish eyes as he attempted to back away from the creatures.The other KND members stood back in fear,Not sure how to react -- They couldn't say anything about this -- Normally they would attack but they were to paralyzed with fear.
Don't Ignore Hidden Desires
Numbuh 4 saw a long,orange power cord leading to the wall.The ice-shooter was hooked to it.At swift speed he leaped over and grabbed it,Tumbling from the small platform and landing hard on the floor.He pointed it at the monsters,Fury now filling his veins as he narrowed his eyes and took straight aim.
"Eat this,You cruddy reptilian monsters!" Numbuh 4 yelled,He pulled the trigger but much to his dismay,The device wouldn't work.One of the creatures had snapped the entire cord in half.Numbuh 4 whimpered slightly as the creature picked him up.He fought and kicked the best he could but to no prevail.
Pay Attention!

The four KND members gasped in horror at what happened,The creature bit deep into Numbuh 4's shoulder.Taking a rather large chunk of meat including bone with it.Numbuh 3 shielded her eyes from the horror and began to cry,Blood flowing rapidly over the wooden floor.The creature bent it's head low to take another bite but before it could,A electrical blast hit it spending it spiraling,At the same time Numbuh 4 toppled to the floor -- Landing on his torn shoulder he howled in agony.
Numbuh 1 aimed the electricity blasting wepon at the creatures,Trying to ward them off from this -- Numbuh 3 continued to sob imensly from fear and worry of Numbuh 4.Things were getting scarier by the moment.Numbuh 4 felt his vision fading slowly as he was losing conciousness.
Silence Must Be Heard....
Noise Must Be Observed....
The Time Has Come That Silence....
Numbuh 4 felt the darkness consuming him -- The only thing he could think was pain as the swirling black mists of darkness took over him -- His body became useless,Laying there on the floor -- Bleeding rapidly.The only thing he could remember as his vision started to blur.The attack.The monster.His friends' reactions.Numbuh 3's crying.Numbuh 1 electrocuting the creature.
Everything was spinning -- Faster and faster before the torrent of pain and darkness suddenly came to an end.The world had gone black around him,He had fallen into the darkness.Maybe to never see sunlight again.

"Numbuh 5,Get Numbuh 3 out of here! Me and Numbuh 2 will get Numbuh 4."
Numbuh 5 nodded as she escorted the sobbing Numbuh 3 towards the exit.The creatures kept screaming and howling in agony as their flesh started to melt away from the burning and electricity,Sickening green blood spilled rapidly over the floor -- Now mixing with Numbuh 4's own as the howls and screams grew more and more far gone,Numbuh 5 stood outside the tree-house hearing the screams of agony from the creatures before all had gone silent.

Somewhere in the darkness of another Universe....
Pure red eyes turned firey as the owner of them screamed out in fury.Two of the stoner gaurds turned around facing their ruler as the figure stepped from the shadows,You could never see it's face due to the black hood of it's cape.
"Damn,those blasted Kids Next Door! I thought those mindless reptilians could take them on!" The figure roared,the gaurds shrinking back.The figure growled as he turned around to face the glass screen.
"But I will have my revenge,The earth WILL be destroyed."
The gaurds gained back their evil grins as the maniacal,evil laughter echoed off the stone walls.

"Don't you believe me now?I told you it wasn't a dream!" Numbuh 3 screamed as Numbuh 5,Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 2 stared at her.Numbuh 4's injured,mutilated body being carried away to the hospital.Numbuh 1 shook his head.It might've been logical.
"It has a reason for this to happen." was all Numbuh 1 said,Numbuh 3 felt the fury rising in her own veins as she stared at him.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?I TOLD YOU IT WASN'T A DREAM AND YOU STILL DON'T BELIEVE ME!" Numbuh 3 screamed,Angry tears now stinging her lilac eyes she stormed off away from the tree-house to God knows where.
Numbuh 2 turned to look at his leader,His eyes narrowing behind his pilot goggles in confusion.
"Are you sure that it was a dream?For all we know more of those creatures COULD come back."

Numbuh 1 turned to face the 2nd in command,Worry now etching and scratching at him from the inside.Maybe Numbuh 3 was right.But wasn't there an explanation for all this?

Numbuh 2 stared at his leader,He was almost torn in two -- Between staying here to get an answer and going to find and atleast comfort Numbuh 3 since everything has been going rough.

Numbuh 3 wiped away tears as she walked down the side-walk,She was somewhere in the more abandoned parts of town now.She had been walking for miles,They hadn't believed her.Why should they? They were right,She was going mental.

Numbuh 3 sighed,shuffling her feet slightly as she stared at the black assault.Something inside wanted her to go back to her team members but yet she knew they wouldn't accept her back.For after all -- She was a psycho as they said.

Numbuh 1 shook his head and walked off after Numbuh 2 just as the rain started to come down.Numbuh 2 was left standing there watching his leader walk away.Ignoring the fact the rain was coming down.He sighed and stared down at the ground.

"Don't you think you were a little to hard on Numbuh 3?" the thoughts and voices echoing around in Numbuh 2's mind as he glanced up at the grey sky,They did need help.But who could help them?After all they were only human.

"Why bother going back to earth?They don't need help." Numbuh -46 muttered,Kicking a rock as Numbuh 13 stared at him.After all these years,He had changed and she knew it.
"They do need help." Numbuh 13 said silently,Numbuh -46 turned to face her.
Silence....
"But why?They're just pathetic humans!" Numbuh -46 growled rising up taller now,His eyes turning silver as large spikes started growing from his back,A long 8-foot tail with spikes jutted out as he grew foot-long claws.He was now towering over Numbuh 13 as he stared down at her.
Numbuh 13 glared up at him,Unafraid.
"Thats why they need help."

Numbuh 2 sighed and jammed his hands into the pockets over his khaki shorts and he walked off in the direction Numbuh 3 had gone,Who knows -- Maybe he would find something better to do along the way.

Numbuh 3 sat down on a rock,Not caring if she was getting soaked to the bone now.She was in to much misery and anger to care.She didn't feel the same after that dream.Numbuh 4 was attacked because of it.Why didn't she help him?

Numbuh 2 glanced around the eeriee city,It seemed abandoned ever since that news report.He shook off the weird feeling he had received as he made his way through the dark,dusty streets.Not knowing what to expect.
