And me, I see the hidden side of things, a shadowy spirit world that most people think is a myth, a legend. That's probably what drew me to you in the first place. You show the world the face of someone who is confident, cool and collected, a mysterious person with secrets that are yours alone to know.
But the instant we met, I knew that there was more to you than you would ever let show, more than you would ever admit, even to yourself. I know how dedicated you are to Crystal Tokyo and I know what you are willing to do to ensure that it comes about. I also know what that dedication has cost you personally. Even if you never speak about it, I know that many times your duty had demanded that you stand aside and do nothing when your heart demanded that you act. I also know that you believed yourself destined to be alone, standing watch over the Gates of Time until time itself came to an end.
But you also surprised me. Never did I expect to find a passion that matched the fire that burns in my soul, especially not in you. But, like dry tinder, it was just waiting for a spark to light it into a blaze. As I lie here in your arms, the sweet languorous ache in my muscles from our latest session of lovemaking is testament to the passion and ardour of which you are capable. I think you knew that, and shut yourself from everyone else, lest they be burned. But fire cannot be burned, and I am fire my love.
