Jack O'Neill walked through the halls at the SGC, happy to be back. He had enjoyed his down time, but really wanted to see his team again. They were all due back for a briefing this afternoon and as usual, he was early. He went directly to Carter's lab looking for her. To his surprise, she wasn't there. He tried all the places she might be to no avail. Finally, he went to the infirmary, suspecting her of being there talking to Janet. Again, no Carter.

"Janet, you seen Carter?" He asked.

"No, Colonel, I haven't even heard from her during her downtime. I've been trying to contact her at home and on her cell, but haven't been able to reach her. Frankly, I'm a little worried. General Hammond told me that he had tried to call her in on a problem yesterday, but he couldn't find her either."

"That's doesn't sound like Carter. She would jump at the chance to get back here. It's been two weeks and she hasn't been able to play with her doohickeys. She must be going nuts! Maybe Daniel or Teal'c have seen her."

"As of a few minutes ago the hadn't found her. They were her looking for her too!"

"I don't like this at all," O'Neill muttered as he went in search of the General.

General Hammond was as concerned as O'Neill. "We had a question come up about the iris and I tried to contact her several times during her down time, leaving messages for her. She never returned my calls. I thought maybe she was visiting Mark, but she should be back by now. Anyway her cell phone should work in San Diego."

"Sir, I have a bad feeling about this," O'Neill began, but Hammond cut him off.

"Take Teal'c and Dr. Jackson with you and go to her house. Make sure everything is alright."

"Yes sir," O'Neill responded and was out the door.

He found Daniel and Teal'c in Daniels lab.

"Let's go," he said, poking his head in the door.

"Where are we going, O'Neill?" Teal'c asked.

"The General wants us to go to Carter's to see if she's alright", O'Neill replied. "Nobody's heard from her since she left 2 weeks ago. Now she's late for a briefing. That is SO not like Carter." O'Neill set a fast pace toward the elevators with Daniel and Teal'c following quickly behind.

They were silent in route to Sam's house, each lost in their own thoughts. The snow from their most recent storm still decorated the yards and shady areas. The snowbanks littered the streets where the snowplows pushed the excess. They arrived to find her car parked on the street, surrounded by dirty, slushy snow. Daniel walked over and looked in the window and tried the door.

"Locked," he said. "It look like it's been here a while, with the snow still piled around it. Sam would never leave it on the streets with the snowplows coming through here."

"Yeah, that's what's bothering me," O'Neill muttered, moving to the front door. He fished around in his pocket and found his keys. Sorting through them, he found the one he was looking for. Inserting it into the lock he pushed open her door only to find weeks worth of mail accumulated in the floor.

"Looks like she hasn't been home lately," Daniel commented, picking it up and placing it on a nearby table. O'Neill muttered as he moved through the house, opening each door and looking inside. Finally to her kitchen and opened her refrigerator.

"She hasn't been her drinking milk either. This stuff was out of date a week ago. I don't like this. Her car is outside and obviously been there all week or longer. Where could she be?"

O'Neill's phone chirped. He snatched it up to his ear. "Yes sir. No. It looks like she's been gone for a while." He paused, listening. "No, sir. No idea where she intended to go. I hate to say it, but it's just like the time that Conrad got her. Yes, sir. We'll continue looking around the house and come straight back."

He turned to Daniel and Teal'c. "The General called her brother and he hasn't heard from her. This is really starting to bother me."

"What about her bike?" Daniel asked suddenly. "Maybe she went out for a ride ...or something."

"In the snow?" O'Neill asked sarcastically. "In case you haven't noticed, Daniel, the 'Springs has had snow on the roads for the last two weeks."

"Which is the exact amount of time she has been missing," Daniel finished. "Let's check the garage."

Together her team went out to her garage and looked inside. Her Indian was gone, along with her helmet.

"Well, that answers that," O'Neill said. "Come on. Something's not right about this. Let's get back to the mountain."

General Hammond was concerned when they were no closer to finding Sam. The local police were called. She was officially listed as a missing person and an APB was put out on her and her Indian. The newspapers picked up the story and soon everyone was aware that Major Samantha Carter, USAF was missing. Everyone except for Jack Thomason and his 'wife' Karen.
