"Tonks, don't be daft." Lupin said seriously,

"you're beautiful in every way" Tonks looked up at Remus amazed.

"Yah well...Tell that to damn George, who does he think he is, cheating on me with that young Parvati." She said bitterly.

"Well, George is a dumb git. He gave up an amazing, beautiful, talented auror like yourself." Remus said as he wrapped her into a hug and let her sob onto his shoulder.

"Remus, I love you, I don't know what I would do without you." Tonks said, wiping her eyes.

'Just not in the same way I love you, Nymphadora Tonks' he thought bitterly.

~~~~~Months Later~~~~~
"Sirius, she's leaving!" Remus cried as he burst into Sirius' room.
Sirius looked up, stricken.
"Tonks?"
"Yes you idiot. TOMORROW!" Remus said exasperated.
Siries jumped out of the chair he had been sitting in in 12 Grimmauld Place and strided quickly down the hall to Tonks' room flanked by Remus. He opened up the door and saw a jumble of clothes and behind them was Tonks herself. Tears quickly streamed down her face as she walked to the door and pulled Sirius into a tight hug. After a few seconds she pulled away and looked up at him, kissed his cheek, and said
"Goodbye cousin." Sirius looked hurt, but he turned away and walked back to his own room to think about this.
"Why?" Lupin asked softly. Tonks looked deep into his chocolatey eyes. They were stained with worry and grief, all because of her. Tonks smiled and placed a tentative hand on his cheek and started to stroke it with her thumb. She started to explain,
" Remus, Lupin, Moony, Wolfie" she said the latter with a sad heart, it had always been her name for him.
"I have loved someone, with the wishes of them returning my love. Needless to say, they obviously haven't" she said motioning around with her hands to the empty and half-packed suitcases all around her.
"I cannot stay a moment longer, for fear of my heart breaking" she said bitterly. Lupin reached up and grabbed her hand with his own and caressed it.
" I know what you are feeling, my love has not been returned either. Every time I see her with another man, a small part of me hardens and breaks, but I cannot give up hope." He finished somewhat fiercely. Lupin now had one solitary tear running down his face and Tonks pulled his face close to hers and kissed away that tear.
Lupin looked into Tonks' eyes and saw her register what he had just said. All at once a flicker of understanding came to her eyes. She pulled how head towards hers and kissed his sweet, soft lips this time. Tears of relief streamed freely down each one of their faces and the tears mingled with eachother as they hit the floor. Tonks looked up at him and wordlessly drew out her wand and made her clothes fly out of the suitcases, they landed messily on the bed and floor.
"I have to learn how to do that spell" she muttered. Lupin looked at her and asked,
"Why? You're not going anywhere anymore" She softly and happily replied
" No I'm not, no I'm not."
With that Lupin literally swept Tonks off her feet and spun her in a circle as Tonks lowered her face for one of the many, many kisses.
