One day in Ashgaru, a young girl (about fifteen) was wearing a long black cloak as she walked down the street. A strong gust of wind blew her cloak back revealing a black, leather body-suit with gold bracelets around her wrists that had blood red oval jewels in the center. She wore leather black boots with a ½" heel. A gold belt with a blood red jewel in the center hung loosely around her waist. Her fathers sapphire pendant hung around her neck.

"Get out of here you dunpeel!" a villager shouted.

"We don't want your kind here!" another called.

'Losers……' she mentally said as a ball landed in front of her.

"Hey lady!" a boy called, "Can we have our ball back?"

"You could just pop it." Her right hand said.

"Here." She tossed it to the boy.

"Thanks lady!" He called.

"Why did you do that?" her hand asked, "The people in this town treat you like dirt but you just bite your tongue and let them! Why?"

Airai didn't answer. She began to walk again when she heard something……

crack……crack……

Airai saw what it was; a few beams were cracking under the weight of the roof.

"Leave it." Her hand said.

But she didn't. The roof was about to collapse on the little boy. There was a crash and a cloud of smoke as the villagers gasped in horror.

When the smoke cleared the little boy was safe in Airai's arms. The boys mother ran to her and took her son, thanking her for saving him. But the boys father kicked her knocking her to the ground.

"Touch my boy again and I'll kill you!" he shouted.

"John she just saved our child!"

"Did she? How are we sure she didn't accidently save him? She could have ment to tackle him to suck his blood!"

"John-"

"She's a dunpeel!"

"……she saved him……"

"Wake up, Merina! You, dunpeel, get out of here!"

Airai got up and stared wistfully at the boy and his mother.

"You'll not have my family's blood!" He threw a rock at her.

Soon the other villagers were throwing stones at her. It continued till she ran out of the town……
