NOTE: Hope you enjoyed the first chapter...didn't say much but essential to the story...just like this one
DICLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter or any of it's characters, they belong to J.K. Rowlings...on the other hand, I do own the plot of this story...

*Chapter 2: What life? *
I went back home having Isobel's words in my head. Was I really becoming a nun? Maybe I was, but maybe not. Today's the new moon and a Friday. It's the perfect day to hail de great Goddess Dana, the moon, and ask make a wish to her. I couldn't miss a chance like that for a little shag!
Ah! Home sweet home! I hardly changed anything since Philip left me. I couldn't even get the nerves to move out! In fact, the only change was his things: they're gone. I hate thinking of that. Makes me feel sad. He broke up with me to go with another woman. I had a hard time getting over him. Let just say that it really affected my self-confidence. When he was here with me, our six rooms apartment seemed warm and protecting. Once he was gone, it's felt cold and empty. I bought a little blond Labrador, which I named Jester and a little black cat that I named Salem. I turned his office into mine and I changed our library into what I call my "magical room". That's were I put my shelves with my books, my candles, an altar, loads of cushions and a big desks on which I write my "Book of Shadows". It's where I do my rituals and spells. I don't know much about witchcraft but I like to pretend that I have to power to rule the elements according to my will. Today's an important day for whoever practices white magic. As I mentioned, it's the new moon and it happens to be on a Friday. I'm so busy!
I ate quickly and took ten minutes to walk the dog. Once done, I finally sit in my room, on my favourite blue cushion. Each time I work there, I feel relax and calm. There's this warmth that rises from the bottom of my back and spreads through my arms and hands. This time, the spell's quite simple. I only need four white candles, for each guardian of the watchtowers. There's a guardians for each tower, and a tower for each cardinal point. I also need a green candles, to represent the day, and vanilla incense. At midnight, I sit in front of my altar and empty my mind of all annoying thoughts. I cast the circle open and hail the guardians of each watchtowers while lighting their candles. A last, I can call upon the Goddess. I light the green candle; the incense and I can finally talk to her. I ask her to change my life, to give me more than I already have. I ask for a career that I would love, for a man who would love me with all his soul and that I would love back just as much. A man that would make me discover a brand new world, grant all my wishes, even the craziest ones. A man that would have something mysterious and magical. A man that would bewitch me at first sight. I know I ask a lot but it's a negotiation technique! A ask for more, than I lower my expectations. The others think I being nice by making compromise but, in fact, I finally get exactly want I want!
The spells end at one thirty in the morning. I light off the candles clean the altar and open the door. Jester and Salem are sitting there, waiting for me to allow them inside. Salem enters first and settles himself on a dark red pillow. He looks like a little black fly in a glass of wine. Jester follows and lies on my favourite blue one. Almost as if animals knew what colours suit them best! They both fall easily and quickly asleep. I sit on my couch and write my ritual in my Book of Shadows. I write down the incense and candles I used, the things I asked for and my feelings. Then I take the last Harry Potter. I'll read a little more in
order to get material for my dreams.
It might've been three o'clock in the morning when, at last, I rose from my chair to go to bed. My "babies" know it's bedtime too. Salem leaves his cushion to take his place in the little basket on the left side of my bed. Jester takes his on the bed, on the right side. After making sure that every light and candles are extinguish and the door's locked, I take my place in bed and fall quickly asleep too. I didn't dream, too bad.
