Amarie's father is one of the most renowned elves of middle earth, and all come to him with their problems. As a result it is thought that she would marry Legolas, who is one of the elven princes. Amarie has fallen in love with another though, who is not of her father's liking.

"Legolas, I thank you for spending this day with me. I greatly enjoyed your company."

"I am glad that you did Amarie, when will I be able to see you again?"

"I am not sure, for my time is at my father's discretion. I will send you a message as to when."

"Then I shall bid you farewell, Amarie. Until I see you again."

"I shall say the same to you, Legolas."

Later on that day.........

"Elbereth, I do not care for Legolas the way that our father wishes for me too. I know that I have only spent a few times with him, but I know that he is not for me. And if father decides to go through with the marriage that he has proposed, I do not know what I will be able to do to pursued him not to make it happen. Oh, Elbereth, please help me."

"Amarie, I do not know what tell you. He is our father. He is also the one who introduced me to Haldir, and by doing so showed me my true love. And like you I did not love him at first, that came in time, so give Legolas more than just a few days chance, or you might never know what you do have."

"I shall give him another chance, but I do not know how much longer I can go on with this façade if nothing starts to come of it."

Amarie did not tell her sister that the real reason she did not feel anything was that she had seen some strange elf and that he had made her heart leap, although she did not even know his name.
