Disclaimer: If you want to know who really owns the Teen Titans, just watch the show's ending credits. Surely you didn't think I owned them!

A/N: Sorry about the long wait guys. I was on hiatus. I took a vacation to sort the crap in my head out. Here is another chapter for you to enjoy. This story has two or three more chapters after this. After this I will be working on another TT FF. Keep an eye out for it in the near future.

Chapter Six: More Dreams

Raven sat in a rocking chair next to Sword's bed. A bucket of cold water and a sponge rested on the nightstand. His wounds had been cleaned and bandaged. His coat and shirt had been removed, leaving his chest and shoulders bare. He was still unconscious so there was no need for his sunglasses. Raven had not left his side since they had returned to the tower the previous night.

Raven would not leave the room even to eat. If she had to use the restroom she would use the one adjoining Sword's room. She stayed by his bedside and helped him as best she could. She wiped the sweat off of his brow with the cold, damp sponge. She placed her hand on his when he seemed to struggle in his sleep. She would hum the song she had almost forgotten when he seemed restless. All the while she would toy with the stone he had given her out of love.

It was late in the afternoon the day after they had returned from Xith. Raven turned when she turned the door open and saw Starfire walking in holding a tray with two bowls of soup. She walked over to Raven and placed the tray on the floor and handed Raven a bowl. "Has there been any change," she asked.

            "No."

            "Raven?"

            "Yes, Starfire?"

"Where did you get that necklace?"

"Sword gave it to me before we entered Cargan's palace to retrieve the diamond."

Starfire looked at it for a moment and then looked at Raven as she fingered the gift once more. "How do you feel about him?"

Raven picked up the sponge and dabbed the sweat off of his brow as she answered. "Honestly Star," said as she placed the sponge back in the water, "I'm in love with him." Starfire looked at Raven as she ate the soup. Raven could feel the alien girl appraising her.

            "That's what we thought."

            "We?"

"The others and I have noticed that you are always as close as possible to him. We noticed that you are not yourself around him." Raven raised an eyebrow at her extraterrestrial friend. "You usually speak in a monotone voice. Whenever you are around Sword, your voice actually pitches and changes tone. Its as if you are coming out of a shell just for him."

Raven finished her soup and placed the bowl back on the tray. She then looked at her friend and smiled. "I suppose your right."

"Do you wish me to take over in caring for his wounds?"

            "No thanks."

"Are you sure you would not like to get some rest?"

            "I'll be fine Star."

Starfire gathered the tray and bowls and silently floated out of the room. Raven watched her go and then turned and saw that Sword was struggling again. She placed her hand on his and waited until he calmed down. After some time she drifted into a deep sleep while holding his hand.

((()))

Raven was standing somewhere. She shook her head and the scenery cleared. She was standing in the very empty throne room of Cargan. The light in the room was dimmer than it had been and she looked around again. She saw Sword sitting cross-legged in the center of the floor. He was covered in blood, both black and red, and was clutching his shoulder. He was shuddering.

Raven immediately ran to him. She bent down and took hold of him. He muttered something that she couldn't hear. She asked him to repeat it and he did.

            "Don't let them get me."

            "Don't let who get you?"
"Please don't let them get me."

            "Who?"

"They didn't want me to leave. They wanted me to stay."

"Who wanted you to stay where?"

"But I wouldn't be a tool in their power struggle. There was no way I was going to stay in that world. I knew I had to find a way out. Not just because there wasn't anything left for me but because I wouldn't be used."

            "What are you talking about?"

            "Hide me!"

            "What?"

"Please hide me! Don't let them find me! I won't go back to that world!"

"What world? Hide you from whom? Hide you how?"

"If they find me they will attack me. They will attack my mind. They are trying to convert me. I won't be a tool in their power struggle!"

            "Ok…I'll hide you but how?"

            "Inside you."

            "What?"

"Merge my mind with yours. Help me fend them off. Help me keep them away." Raven was suddenly pulled away from him. She reached out to him but to no avail. She was sucked into a large dark hole.

((()))

Raven awoke to Starfire shaking her shoulder. Raven didn't know how she knew what to do but she did. Without a word to Starfire she stood from her chair. She walked, as if entranced, to the left side of Sword's double bed. She pulled the covers down and climbed under them. She pulled them back up and grabbed Sword's right hand in her left. She held the necklace in her other hand.

She closed her eyes and pushed her mind out towards his. She searched until she felt the barrier open to admit her. She then fell into a deep sleep.

((()))

Starfire's scream brought the rest of the Titans running. Robin calmly surveyed the scene. Sword lay in the exact same position he had for the past day. Raven lay next to him holding his hand. But what had made Starfire scream was that the two were glowing. It was as if their auras' were confined to their skins. Raven was glowing with her usual black aura. Sword's aura was multicolored and shifting. Where their hands touched there was a bright white light.

((()))

Raven and Sword stood in a wooded clearing. Raven surveyed the surroundings. The trees were sparse and the grass very green. As she took in the scenery a man appeared. He was dressed in red robes and his long white hair and beard were immaculately groomed. His robes were spotless and he held a golden book under his left arm.

"Ronz," Sword spoke his name, "God of the Jestan church on my home world."

Another man appeared to the right of the first.

"Olthak," Sword spoke again, "God of the Samor church on my home world."

To the left of the first another god appeared.

"Igma," Sword named him, "God of the Dirmik church on my home world."

"So Aemontath," Ronz patronized, "Hiding behind a woman?"

Raven turned to Sword, "Why does everyone call you that?"

Sword sighed and responded gravely, "It is a word in my native tongue that means "Seeker of Truth." I was prophesized to be born when the struggle for power between the gods was at a climax. Whichever of the three deities I followed would become the most powerful. I was born into a family that followed the Jestan belief system."

"However," Ronz spoke up, "As he grew and matured he became aware of our struggle. When he was still a teenager he discarded all of the traditional belief systems of the world we had created."

"He chose to follow the beliefs of the Sygan, the Keeper of the Multi-Verse," Olthak voiced, "He began searching for a way to leave the world that brought him into existence." Olthak was dressed in a vest and trousers both colored blue. His graying beard and hair were neatly combed. A silver book rested under his right arm.

"He took up spelunking as a hobby." Igma's clothes were a dirty beggars smock and sandals. His black hair and beard were matted and unkempt. He clutched a dirty leather-bound book to his chest as he spoke. "During one of his cave exploring expeditions he fell into an uncharted cavern that housed a weapon that would let him leave. The Tefarmechtana is one of the Seven Holy Weapons of Sygan."

"I know why you have come and I will not return to the dead husk of a world you have created." Sword's eyes began to glow and he raised his hands. Raven began to charge her powers as well. Just before the battle began Sword whispered into Raven's ear, "Aim for the books love."

A/N: Sorry for the cliffhanger. But at least you know a little more about Sword now. I would like to thank everyone for the encouraging reviews. I need to know that you like the story so I can continue it. As long as I get one or two reviews a chapter this fic will continue. Ciao.
