Disclaimer: The only things I own are my imagination and Sword. If you would like to use Sword you must do something. To find out what that is you must email me. Hasta.

A/N: I'm back again. I know that the last chapter was a bit shorter than the others and this one is too. But please bear with me. The next chapter is the end and I am trying to get there so I can work on my newest idea. I think that you might like that one as well.

Chapter Seven: Mind Over Matter

Robin bent over the two glowing heroes. As he closely examined Raven and Sword he noticed something that he hadn't before. A thread of blue energy was running from Sword's right temple to Raven's left. He watched as the thin strand wavered and then tensed. Then it would loosen and waver again. It kept this cycle constantly. The Boy Wonder straightened and turned to the other Titans.

"They seem to be in a comatose state."

"Tell us something we don't know, o master of the obvious," Beast Boy quipped sarcastically.

"Well Mr. Sarcasm," Robin replied, "They seem to be fighting a mental threat." He scratched the side of his head. "Whatever they are fighting is attacking one or both of their minds. They seem to have receded into a dream state to gain an advantage."

"Well," Cyborg said impatiently, "What can we do about it?"

            "Honestly," Robin sighed, "Nothing."

Raven fired a blast of black energy at Olthak. She had expected him to put up some kind of barrier but that was ridiculous. He had drawn a seven point star pentagram on the ground and was now chanting to keep the super-barrier in place. His vest fluttered in the slight breeze as he held his silver tome overhead.

To her side Sword was gathering his energy. She threw another energy blast at Olthak only to have it vanish on contact with the shield. She turned just in time to see Ronz send a stream of fire at Sword. She threw her own barrier up to protect him and just barely made it. Sword was almost done charging his energy.

Igma put his hand in front of him and moved it in small circles. As he did so the ground in front of him began to bubble and froth as though it was some kind of swampy ooze. Out of this muck rose several mud men. These reinforcements come too late as Sword released his spell.

Thousands of lead spikes appeared in the air around them. Each of them spun and directed themselves at Ronz. They each began to fire themselves at him. Several of Igma's mud men blocked the aerial weapons but there were just too many. Though most of the spikes missed one or two embedded themselves in the robed god's golden tome. He doubled over in pain and screamed. Several more of the spikes ran through the book. Light began to filter through the seams of the book as it disintegrated. Ronz screamed once more and was no more.

Igma threw his hands up in a fit of joy as one more of his adversaries were destroyed. This lapse in defense would cost him dearly for Raven took the opportunity. A large black spear of energy rammed straight through the heart of Igma's dirty power core. He too screamed and burst into dust.

Only Olthak was left. He refused to let his barrier drop. Sword turned and faced him. "You are the last god of my home world yet you refuse to go?"

"I will stay and plague your mind until the day you die Aemontath." The blue vested god held his silver tome above his head and laughed in triumph his barrier still erected.

Sword placed his hands close to one another and formed a ball of energy. This energy was grayish and moved sluggishly like lukewarm gruel. Sword sent the gray glob toward the last god's shield with a negligent flick of his hand. Instead of vanishing like everything else the glob of energy just splattered and slid to the ground. Once there it began to cover the pentagram. It slithered like living sludge until the entire symbol was covered. Then it began to pulse and glow.

Olthak looked around wildly unsure of what was happening. As the shield began to lower Sword smiled at Raven, "Would you like to do the honors love?" Raven smiled and blasted the silver book into oblivion. Olthak didn't even have time to scream.

Robin blinked and smiled. He stood and began to wake the other Titans from their sleeps on the floor. The couple in the bed were pulsating and glowing with an intense white light. It grew until it filled the entire room and then began to lessen and recede. When it finally disappeared Robin and the others found Sword and Raven entertaining a passionate kiss. Everyone smiled and quietly left the room and its occupants to their amusements.

((()))

Raven never wanted that kiss to end. Indeed it seemed to stretch on for eternity. When they broke apart for breath her face was flushed and sweaty but a very happy smile brushed her swollen lips. They reinitiated the kiss and spent Gods knew how long exploring each other's mouths.

((()))

The Teen Titans stood on the roof of Titan Tower. Sword stood in the center of the giant t-shaped structure. He was holding Raven's hands in his and they were saying their goodbyes. The other Titans couldn't believe their eyes. Raven was crying. Sword reached up and wiped her tears away.

"Don't cry," he whispered, "I will return to you."

"I know," she said in a shaky voice, "but I wish you didn't have to leave."

"So do I," he sighed, "But I will return and this necklace will give you a sign when I do." Raven gave one final cry and threw herself into his arms and gave him one last kiss. He embraced her and then pulled away.

"It has been a pleasure working with all of you." He then began to waver and shimmer. His rainbow aura covered him and then he was gone.

((()))

Without Slade to plan and pull crimes and generally irritate the Titans crime dropped considerably. Raven dropped into a melancholy. She would spend her days doing nothing but sitting around the tower and rubbing and polishing the simple necklace. She would stare off into space and sigh repeatedly. Robin and Starfire's relationship progressed along a healthy path and they soon became inseparable. Cyborg spent most of his time working on cars, computers, and upgrades. Beast Boy and Terra were pursuing their own relationship.

One thing was becoming apparent. The Teen Titans were drifting apart. No crime meant that there was no reason for the team to exist. No reason meant that there was no enthusiasm. Slowly the team drifted apart.

A/N: Please don't kill me. This isn't the last chapter. It's probably short and I know you want more but this and a short ending chapter is all I got left for this one. Don't worry though. I am working on a new Raven Romance Fic as you read this. Just remember. Good things come to those who wait.
