A/N: Thank you for all of these reviews! I'm happy that you like the names! Here's the next chapter.

Before they knew it, a month past and Lucy and Kevin Kinkirk found themselves in the doctor's office again. Lucy shifted nervously.

"Don't worry, it'll be OK. When we had the appointment two weeks ago he said Madison would still be OK..." Kevin tried to re assure Lucy.

"I know. I'm just nervous." Lucy said. Kevin took Lucy's hands in his as he tried to calm her down. When Matt entered the room, Lucy placed her hand protectively over her stomach. Matt smiled at her and Kevin. He took her measurements, and had her lie down for her ultra sound. After rubbing the cool goo over her stomach, he switched the ultrasound on and looked at the screen silently for many minutes. He rubbed his temples and turned to face Lucy and Kevin.

"OK guys..." He began. "The girl"

"Madison." Said Lucy quietly.

"Madison" Said Matt, "Isn't doing nearly as well as I'd hoped. From what I can see on this screen, Madison is getting less than half of the nutrients that the boys"

"William and Luke." Said Kevin.

"Half of the nutrients that William and Luke are getting. As of two weeks ago, she was getting half, but now it's a little less. Listen, I'm going to give you one week to see if this gets better."

"And if it doesn't?" Asked Lucy.

"If it doesn't we're going to have to get to get the babies delivered."

"But right now I'm only at 7 months and three weeks. That would be delivering at only my first week of the 8th month!" Objected Lucy.

"Luce, would you rather wait until you're at nine months and risk losing your daughter? No. Babies can live if they're born at 8 months, anyway."

"OK." Lucy and Kevin said.

"OK guys. You're done. Please don't hesitate to call me if anything at all is going on. I want you in here a week from today. And as precautionary measure, please don't eat the day you're going to come in."

"Why?" Asked Kevin.

"Just in case we have to deliver. It will have to be a C- Section, and you can't eat before that."

"What are the chances of that happening?" Asked Lucy.

"Right now, I'd have to say there's a fairly good chance. I'm sorry." Subconsciously, a tear rolled down Lucy's cheek.

"OK." She said. They said goodbye and left.

When they got home, Lucy couldn't control her tears. She cried for an hour while Kevin tried to make her feel better. Her tried unsuccessfully to reassure her, but in reality, he was just as afraid as she was.

The week passed much too quickly for Kevin and Lucy. On the day of her next appointment, she did as she was told and did not eat. She and her husband were extremely nervous as they entered Matt's office. He came in shortly and went straight to the ultra sound. He looked at it for a few minutes, took a deep breath and turned back to Lucy and Kevin.

"OK guys, here's the thing. Madison's still not getting the nutrients she needs and I'm really worried about her. We need to get her out as soon as possible. Did you eat today, Luce?" Matt asked.

"No." Lucy said on the verge of tears.

"OK, then I want you two to get to the hospital. I'm going to call them and let them know that you are coming." He said. Lucy started crying. Matt hugged her.

"It's gonna be OK." He told her soothingly. She nodded and went to Kevin. Hand-in-Hand they walked to their car and started the short drive to Glen Oak Hospital.
