Disclaimer: I don't own Tums!

On July 28th, Sarah, Lucy, and Cecilia sat on a soft yellow blanket on the grass in the park. After being begged by Rachel and Ethan, Cecilia finally gave in to taking her children to the park, and had decided to ask her sisters-in-law to go too. The three women sat happily watching Rachel, Ethan, Emily, and Sean playing on the playground. In her arms, Lucy held Madison while her brothers slept soundly in their stroller seats. The baby lounged happily in her mother's arms, staring up at her with her big blue eyes. Lucy smiled as Emily came over to her.

"Aunt Lucy?" The 9-year-old asked sweetly. "Can I hold Maddy?"

"Sure." Lucy told her. "Why don't you sit down here." She patted the spot on the blanket next to her. The little girl did as she was told. Lucy carefully handed the baby to Emily. She cried for a moment, but then stopped.

"She sure loves to be held by her cousins." Said Cecilia. Lucy nodded her head in agreement.

"She's pretty mellow compared to her brothers, especially Luke. Luke only likes to be held by Kevin or I. He screams if anyone else tries to take him! It depends what kind of mood Will is in to see if he'll be held by anyone else, but Maddy likes to be held by everyone." Lucy said.

"She's pretty easy going, that's nice." Said Sarah. "When Em was a baby, she would have a fit when ever anyone tried to hold her, but Sean was OK with it. Probably because he was used to being held by other people if Matt or I were playing upstairs with Emily."

"Yeah." Lucy said.

"Well both of my babies had fits!" Cecilia said with a laugh. "I guess that's just my luck."

"I wonder how this one will be." Sarah said, rubbing her hand over her huge 9-month belly. "Sean seems to be really excited about Chloe coming."

"And Emily too!" Emily corrected.

"And Emily too." Sarah said, "I just hope that once she's here they'll feel the same way!" Cecilia smiled at her.

"It'll probably be hard at first, but then they'll get used to having another family member." She said. Lucy nodded her head in agreement.

"Yeah." She said. "I'm lucky. None of my three have to adjust to one another being at home! Only Kevin and I have to adjust!" They laughed.

"Oh come on!" Sarah cried. Cecilia and Lucy stopped laughing and turned to Sarah.

"What's wrong?" They asked in unison. Sarah motioned to a puddle growing beneath her.

"I hate being pregnant! You always have to pee. I let my guard down and now look at what I've done!" She said. "I'm sorry."

"It's OK. I did the same thing with the triplets." Lucy said with a laugh.

"And I almost did with Ethan!" Cecilia said. Sarah nodded and blushed. After 20 more minutes had passed, Sarah shifted uncomfortably.

"Are you OK?" Lucy asked her sister-in-law.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just feel a little funny that's all."

"What's wrong?" Asked Cecilia.

"My stomach just hurts...oh, there it is again!" She said, rubbing her stomach.

"Do you want some Tums or something?" She asked.

"No thanks. I think this is just part of the joys of being pregnant." She said with a smile. Madison, now asleep in Emily's arms, was given carefully to Lucy. Lucy put her sleeping daughter into her stroller seat. She smiled as she watched Emily run back to play again. Lucy laid back on the blanket and stretched her arms out, enjoying the warmth of the sun against her tired body. The triplets took a few naps every day, but it was rare that they all took them at the same time. Now that it had finally happened, she was going to take a much needed break. She dozed off slowly over the next fourty-five minutes. She was awakened by a loud cry. She opened her eyes slowly and looked around. Cecilia was bent over Sarah, who was lieing on the ground, grabbing her abdomen in pain. Cecilia was on her cell phone with someone, but Lucy couldn't hear what she was saying. When she got off, she turned to Lucy.

"Good morning sleepy head." She said.

"Wh-what's going on?" Lucy asked quietly.

"Turns out that Sarah didn't pee on the blanket earlier! That was her water breaking. She's in labor."

"Oh my gosh!" Lucy leapt up and knelt at Sarah's other side. Sarah had tears running down her cheeks.

"Matt's on his way, I just got off the phone with him." Cecilia said to Sarah. Sarah nodded and grabbed her stomach again in the pain of another contraction. Oblivious to anything that was going on, Emily, Sean, Rachel, and Ethan were still happily playing on the playground. Cecilia had rolled the triplets back a bit so they hadn't been awoken by Sarah's cries.

"How long did I sleep?" Lucy asked.

"About two hours." Cecilia told her.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Lucy asked.

"Because at first we thought that Sarah was just having some pain having to do with being pregnant, ya know. But it kept getting worse and worse, and it dawned on us like a half-hour ago what's going on. Sarah didn't want to call Matt because she still didn't believe that she was in labor, but she's realized it now, and Matt's on his way.

"So how long has it been since her water broke? How long has she been in labor?" Lucy asked in alarm. Cecilia looked at her watch quickly.

"3 hours and 13 minutes." She said. "She..." They were interrupted by Sarah.

"OOWWW! Cecilia, Lucy, get over here!" She cried. They hurried over to help.

"What?" Cecilia asked.

"I think it's time." She said.

"But it's only been 3 hours!" Cecilia cried.

"Yeah but this is my third. As you have more, labor is shorter. Oh, where is Matt?" She cried.

"He's on his way. He'll be here in about five minutes."

"I don't think I can wait five minutes!" She yelled. Lucy and Cecilia exchanged horrified glances. Cecilia grabbed her phone and dialed Matt's cell.

"Matt, where are you, it's time!" She cried.

"I'm stuck in traffic." Matt told her. "I won't be there for at least 15 minutes. Call 9-1-1." He said. "I'll be there as soon as possible!" They hung up and Cecilia dialed 9-1-1. She came back with the phone still on her ear.

"No, there's no one else at the park right now, well, other than our kids." She was saying to the operator. She listened for a minute then motioned for Lucy to grab the extra blanket out of the bag she had brought. Lucy covered Sarah and Sarah removed her pants. She cried out in agony.

"Hurry!" She cried. "She's coming!" Cecilia spoke to the operator. Just then, sirens rang loud and the ambulance sped into the parking lot. People poured out and ran over with blankets, and other materials to deliver a baby. One person came with a fold up emergency tent for instances like this. It was set up in seconds and three people went in. Lucy and Cecilia paced outside. By now, the kids had come over and the triplets had woken up. Rachel was holding Will, Emily was holding Maddy, and Lucy held Luke in her arms. Finally, a baby's cries were heard from inside the tan tent.

"It's a girl!" Yelled a woman. A few seconds later, they loaded Sarah onto a stretcher.

"We need to take her down to the hospital for a check up, for both Sarah and the baby." A woman told them as they wheeled Sarah and Chloe to the ambulance. Cecilia ran up along side Sarah whose face was tear stained, but had a smile.

"I'll take Em and Sean back to my house with us. Call me when we can come see you!" She said. Sarah nodded and she was gone in the ambulance. Cecilia rounded up the kids and the triplets were put back in their stroller. They called Matt and told him to meet Sarah at the hospital. Then, they loaded up the kids into their cars and went home, and for the rest of the afternoon, they awaited Sarah's call.
