Author's Notes: Hiya! Welcome to my second fanfic posted on here... though I'm not really new to fanfiction. (I'm still not good at it, though) This is a challenge fic that I wrote last night. The challenge was to take the song "Something About Us" by Daft Punk, and incorporate the lyrics for the first verse and the chorus to the song in the dialogue somewhere. That part is kinda cheesy, but eh, what can you expect? It's a good song nonetheless, and it was an interesting challenge. Anyway... enjoy!

Something About Us
By Anya Aldaine

Shaoran and Sakura walked along the path, going away from the Tsukimine Shrine. Sakura had just defeated Eriol, and changed all of the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards. Her mission was over. She was eager to go home, have a little victory celebration with Tomoyo and Kero, then sleep.
Shaoran on the other hand, still had something to do. The two of them were now alone, thus he could finally tell her the words he's wanted to say for a long time. "Hey, Sakura?" He stopped walking.
Surprised, Sakura stopped and turned to face him. "What?" She was slightly confused, but smiled sweetly anyway. To her, Shaoran seemed a bit troubled.
Looking down, Shaoran tried to think of how to tell her his feelings. "Well... It might not be the right time. I might not be the right one. But there's something about us I've got to say, because there's something between us anyway."
Confused, Sakura stepped a bit closer to Shaoran. "What do you mean? I don't really understand."
Okay, this is it...he thought. "I need you more than anything in my life. I want you more than anything in my life. I'll miss you more than anyone in my life... I love you more than anyone in my life..."
A look of shock appeared on Sakura's face. What...? She thought. How long has he liked me? Why did I never notice this before? She just looked back at him, speechless.
"Sakura!"
Sakura jumped a bit, startled. She looked behind her, and saw a very joyful Tomoyo running towards her. "You did it, Sakura! Congratulations!"
"Thank you..." Sakura said, pausing. "But... Shaoran deserves a lot of the thanks. If he didn't lend me his energy, I wouldn't have been able to make it." She turned to Shaoran and gave him a sweet smile. "Thanks."
He smiled and nodded. "Anytime."
"Say, Shaoran..." Sakura's pleasant look turned to an almost heartbroken one. "Now that all of the Clow Cards have been changed, are you going to have to go back to Hong Kong?"
Looking down, Shaoran got a morose look on his face. "Yes, I will."
Smiling, Sakura walked up to him. She held up her right hand, pinky finger extended. "You have to promise," she said. "Promise you'll come back again one day."
Smiling back, Shaoran brought his right hand up as well, and wrapped his pinky finger around Sakura's. "Yeah... I promise."
