All right. This ain't a fic this is my opinion of the fics that are on this here FF.net. I'm using the .hack//sign forum because even though I won't read some of your guys stuff, most of you can write well. You see, I've talked to a lot of my friends who read and write their own fanfics that when you add characters to the story line you need to make sure that they fit well. They get along with some characters and they don't get along with others. They can't be the best at everything, they can't be ultra powerful unless they're a bad guy. Adding yourself to the story is self-centered and normally at best, the stories are mediocre. Before you continue to write stories read other peoples fanfics but I don't mean like reading for enjoyment I mean reading to look for any tiny mistake the author made. Like if Tsukasa is acting all happy and stuff. Tsukasa is not a happy person, very to himself, angst person. Keeping characters that are not yours is key to a good fic. When it's your character, you can make them do anything because we don't know who they are. Also, reviews are probably the best things writers have. As long as your fans Are all like, "Nice fic." Or "This fic sucks." Each and everyone of them are your best friend. Take each and every one of their tips while you're making the next chapter of you fic then read it over. Then read over the last one you wrote. 9 times-out of 10, you'll like your newest one. Also when reading you're fic and for some reason you don't like it. And you go over it repeatedly and all the characters are acting just like they're supposed most likely there was supposed be some character development some where. Most of the time it occurs naturally in your writing but sometimes it doesn't. Well I hope this helps any of you in your writing.
