***See...........it is longer.***
DISCLAIMER: I'm just a poor broke student.....I own nothing but my backpack, and the moldy can of beans in the kitchen.......Though the characters are not, this story is mine.......so do me a favour and don't take it or I'll be forced to hunt you down with the tin can as my weapon.....***
"Hello Hermione."
Hermione looked up from where she sat, and saw Ginny standing above her smiling. She smiled back, and patted the seat beside her.
"Sit down."
Ginny sat obediently and looked around in wonder.
"I never really understood how these Muggle bookstores worked."
"They're pretty much the same as ours." Hermione said with an indulgent smile. Ginny had always been rather innocent, unfortunately, Hermione reflected, that had been the reason for her downfall. After looking around, Hermione asked in a lower voice, "How's the your first trimester going along?" Ginny's face fell slightly and she averted her eyes.
"Pretty good,' she answered in the same quiet whisper, 'Draco has been really good about it all." Hermione felt a roaring in her head as she thought about Draco sleeping next to Ginny every night and catering to her quirky appetites-dammit that was supposed to be her. She fixed her smile more firmly and took Ginny's hand.
"It's not your fault Ginny."
"I think it is." Ginny said quietly, her eyes filling up with tears. Hermione looked at her sympathetically, and pulled the younger girl into an embrace.
"Draco chose to marry you Ginny, no one forced him to. If anyone is to blame it's Lucius." Hermione saw Ginny freeze and cursed herself inwardly, she should have remembered to be more sensitive. "Don't worry, everything's going to be OK. Draco.....he.......lov.......he cares about you and I know he'll love the baby." Hermione soothed, the roaring in her head getting louder by the second. Ginny's face brightened and she nodded, wiping the tears off her cheek.
"I know, I don't know any other man who would be willing to keep someone else's child."
"Draco is a good man." Hermione said, trying to keep the bile in her throat from rising.
"So what did you call me here for? You said you had some news?" Ginny asked curiously. Hermione nodded, and tried to open her mouth to speak, but found her tongue impossibly heavy. The room began to spin and she let herself fall into the encircling darkness.
***I know it's still hard to understand what exactly is going on, I promise the plot will become clearer soon. ***
