"No thanks Clay. I'll just try him at home again," Mac said on the phone. "Yeah, thanks. Bye." She hung up her phone and sighed heavily.
"Problem Mac," Sturgis said as he walked into her office.
Mac lifted her gaze to him. "Yeah."
"Maybe I can help."
"Have you seen Harm lately?"
"We had dinner last night," Sturgis nonchalantly said.
Mac stared at Sturgis with irritation. "He's in town?"
"He's been in town for the past two weeks." Sturgis noticed Mac's mood. "Why? Is something up?"
Mac pointed to a large envelope on her desk. "I've been trying to call him, to tell him I have some papers, which need his signature. But I haven't been able to get a hold of him."
"We're playing ball tonight. I'll deliver the papers for you," Sturgis offered.
"Thank you." Mac smiled as she handed him the envelope.
"Will he know what it is about?"
"He should, once he looks at them. But in case he can't remember just tell him, it's in regard to the Kraussman case."
"Wasn't that the case you helped Webb with in Vegas?"
"Yeah," Mac groaned, knowing it was not Webb she worked the case with, but Harm.
"So doesn't Webb need these?" Sturgis asked.
"No, Harm needs them," Mac said as she looked at Sturgis, knowing he was going to ask another question. "Trust me, the less you know about this….the better."
"Okay," Sturgis said before he walked out of the office.

"You're older than me. How the hell do you keep beating me?" Sturgis said to Harm, as they walked out to their cars.
"Luck," Harm smiled.
"Funny." Sturgis unlocked his car and handed Harm the envelope. "Mac asked me to give this to you. She wasn't too pleased with the fact that you are in town."
Harm opened the envelope and groaned. "Oh, that."
Sturgis laughed. "She's a marine and I value my life. What is it anyway?"
"Mac, didn't tell you?"
"No, she was pretty secretive about it."
Harm glanced over the papers and noticed Mac was nice enough to place 'sign here' tags where his signature was needed. "Did she want you to give it back to her tomorrow?"
"She didn't say anything about that." Sturgis gave Harm a leery look.
Harm grimaced at a Post It Note, which read: 'Harm- We have 100 days to get annulled. The final date is December 7. - Mac.'
He quickly stuffed the papers back into the envelope and turned to Sturgis. "Just tell her, you gave the papers to me and I want to look them over before I return them."
"Sure."
"Great, I'll see you later buddy," Harm cheerfully said as he walked over to his car.
"Sure, see you later," Sturgis said with slight worry in his voice.
Harm's Apartment
11:05 PM
Harm sat down on his couch with the papers in one hand and a beer in the other. He carefully read over the words. He glanced down at the signature lines and set the beer on the floor.
His finger traced over the lines of Mac's signature. Her name so much like her, full of curves and surprises. He gazed at the name and let it take him to old times, when he would pop into her office to get a quick signature. The ways she would quickly and delicately scrawl her name on the spots he pointed to.
He set the paper down on the table and picked up a pen lying on the table. He picked the pen up and quickly wrote his name across the lines of the paper, where Mac instructed him to. He placed the papers back into the envelope and returned to his beer.
